Okay, so I'm doing a research paper. On pirates. Any pirates, going back into ancient history and mythology as well as modern pirates, not just the popular ones (of the Caribbean, heh). So what I'm wondering is: Would anyone know of good books to look into on the history of piracy in varying cultures? Preferably not the ones we all know (Blackbeard, etc) as there are plenty of books on those, but more obscure stuff like Greek/Roman piracy, or perhaps Oriental. Help would be appreciated :)

I reccomend A History of Pirates: Blood and Thunder on the High Seas by Nigel Cawthorne. It's a really good book with information on everything to do with pirates, their weapons, ships, female pirates, figure heads for the pirates, buccaneers, privateers, the cities that had lots of pirates etc.
