What are your favourite books? I won't bore you with all of mine, because we'll be here all night, but when asked what my favourite book is, I tend to say "the Silver Chair" by C.S. Lewis. It was my favourite book when I was nine, I realised that I needed to have a 'favourite book'. I read too much now to have one favourite, so I still say 'The Silver Chair.' I really like the book 'Playing Beatie Bow' and the Harry Potter books, and I liked the Emily books, and when I was younger I loved Swallows and Amazons and Hitch-hikers series and The Bible and Artemis Fowl and Sara Dane and ... At the moment I'm reading Ngaio Marsh's murder mysteries... |

I'm like you and have too many books I love to work out what my favourite is. I used to say LotR but seeing as I tried to re-read it and stopped after TTT I don't think I like it as much as I used to. I really love the Harry Potter books and I can't wait for the 6th one ![]() |

Yep. Along with you 2, I have read the whole library. I live opposite the library right, and they know me so well.. The only books I get from there now are ones I have to order, because I'm read all the ones they have for young adults. My favourite book is the Latest Harry Potter Book, The Order of the Phoenix - but I like Philip Pullmans His Dark Materials trilogy, and The Bourne trilogy. I have the HitchHikers trilogy of Five, but I never really got into it that much ![]() |

I love Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, its got such a classic storyline of love and loss; the characters I feel I know them! I also love the Dollanganger Series by Virginia Andrews. They're incredible, especially 'Flowers in the Attic'. Both made me cry actually...I love books based on true events or believable fantasy, if that makes sense? |

I like some stuff by Chaim Potok... The Chosen and the Promise I got into those books because of my brother, he likes to read all sorts of things. Recently I read a kids' series... It's called the Children of the Red King. She hasn't finished writing them yet...so I hope she finishes soon. I really liked them, even if you could just read them in one sitting. I liked the Prydain Chronicles, Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, LOTR (that's a given), the first two books of the His Dark Materials trilogy, Series of Unfortunate Events, Pride and Prejudice, and tons of other stuff. A book that I finished recently that I loved was A Separate Peace by John Knowles. Great book. Anyways, I could go on...sorry. ![]() |
