Anyone read this series?Its my favorite fantasy books.

For those who don't,its Christian fiction,4 book series by Karen Hancock about a king trying to keep his country and family safe from evil forces.

The fourth book was my favorite.I liked the ending too.

My favorite book was either #3 or #4, I think. Although #3's ending upsets me every time I read it, even though I know it all turns out okay.

My favorite character is Maddie, hands down. (Carissa's maybe second.) I like how Maddie really and truly IS plain and not as attractive as her sister, because it seems to me that heroines in books are too often described as plain but considered beautiful by more than one guy, which kind of annoys me after a while. I also like her because she doesn't just sit around and do nothing - she's a fighter.
