Does anyone else read Star Wars? I loved the Revenge of the Sith novelization but my favorite era is the New Jedi Order. I just finished Dark Nest: The Joiner King, which was a little wierd- even for Star Wars.
Who's you fav character? I personally like Jaina Solo but Mara Skywalker comes in second.

I have always gotten more into the books than the movies. I read the Attack of the Clones novelization before the movie came out, and loved it. When I saw the movie was horrified with how badly they messed it all up.

I read the Jedi Apprentice books when I was eleven. I was slightly ... obsessive or something. My friend and I loved them. I remember when she just got the fourth one, and she went and sat in a corner to read it so no one could annoy her. I went outside, and read the book over her shoulder through the window! *laughs*
The only novelisation I've read and like is "A New Hope". I thought it was really well written.

I just finished reading Truce at Bakura the other day which was really good. My favorite character in that was Dev. I'm starting the X-wing series which is OK but not great because I prefer the "main" characters if you know what I mean.
Surviors Quest is a great book as is every Star Wars book by Timothy Zahn. He has a new one coming out in the fall that inter connects with Survivors Quest called Outbound Flight. I'm excited for that. He's my favorite Star Wars author.
I also recently read the trilogy novelizations which were really good. At some parts I wished they were more movie-like but it was an interesting twist.
And ~Shieldmaiden~, one of my favorite extended universe characters is Mara Jade too.

The best Star Wars books I have read are from the NJO. It's a great series. Lots of my fav characters died, though. Kinda ironic.

Way back when I was into SW, I read the novelizations of Episodes I and II, almost all of the Jedi Apprentice books, the ones with Anakin Solo and the girl from Tattooine (this was a loooong time ago), one 6-book series that I forget the name of, and some young Han Solo books (or whatever they were; all I remember is that his g/f was part of a rebel alliance and killed herself rather than be captured at the end). It's been a while! I probably was so young that I didn't understand half the stuff they were talking about

And a few of the New Jedi Order.
