Well, I don't know that that was Mat's crossbow, but....I want it anyway. :P

As for the spear, I don't think it would really be the inspiration for the ashandarei--it didn't have a curved blade, and it was too short. It made me think more of an Aiel spear, though it looks a wee-bit too big to be one of them.

Lol. I enjoy cleaning my room every once in a while, but most of the time, no. You're right, Aerlinn-you're weird. :P

Burn the medieval literature (or just burn through it) and then read WoT!!!!! O_O

Aw. I are sad. You must hurry with that Medieval Literature so you can get to more important things. Like WoT. :P

So, what Borderland has swords like the one in the pictures, do you think? I'm going to guess Arafel.

Viola! Galad. I think I posted one of him earlier. I'm rather proud of it. I did one of Birgitte last night, but I still need to upload it to the computer.

Galad's cool. I like him. And the pic is awesome too, it captures the essence of him quite well :) Galad and Gawyn both are actually pretty awesome...Gawyn more so, though.

w00t for Galad! I like your pic, Nurr. :)

Galad is cool, being...who he is, but yeah, Gawyn is cooler, being the First Prince of the Sword. :D

However.....Lan's cooler than either. And Rand's cooler than Lan. And Mat's cooler than everyone. :P

So if you dislike the colours, and her hair, and you think her face is weirdish, what about it is there left to like?

I like it--it looks really cool. What did you use for it? It looks a little too soft to be pastels.

Nice Aerlinn! I like it a lot. I can't capture Elayne very well --it might have something to do with me disliking her. Or not. Who knows. And I really like the way you did the hair! Color scares me. :P I prefer pencils to color any day.

So, I went through my sketchbook and picked out all the decent ones. [Sorry bout the orange, the lighting was bad. But I think you get the gist anyway.]
Birgitte:

Lan and Moiraine. I really only like it cause of Lan, I don't picture Moiraine like that really.
Image
Clearer picture of Galad [I love this one. Tis my favorite.]
Image
An Aiel.
Image
Cadsuane. She interests me.
Image
Mat, juggling. Not too good, but I had to have something of Mat.

Ahh, the scene at the beginning of Dragon Reborn. Galad is on the right, he's really the only reason I included this picture. His expression is priceless.

I really like your one of Birgitte, Nurr. :) Her face was really well done.

I loved that part on TDR. :D It was great.

Thanks. Birgitte is the most recent one I've done. Yesh, the beginning of TDR is the best part in all the books. Except perhaps Mat at the end of KoD, when he realizes that he's Prince of the Ravens --"a bloody noble". :D

No, Aerlinn--it's good. I like it. You should do it for more characters. :D

Ooh, that stinks. I can't imagine what I would do if my parents did that. [Fortunately, they think reading helps with better grades. It broadens the mind and all that.] Thanks, by the way. You'll find out who Birgitte is. *insert evil laugh* Eventually. Yeah, I prefer pencil/pen drawing, then coloring it in photoshop if I feel like it. Normally I don't feel like it, but what's wrong with good ol' black and white pictures? :P

*thinks I'll join in* but isn't sure how it got into a discussion about art. I don't have Photoshop, so, I have to settle with pastels, colored pencils, paints, crayons, markers, or chalk for coloring it in... lol! Besides, I think photoshoping a picture is cheating... lol! But that's just me!

Anyway! ON the appropriate topic:
I persionally haven't read WoT series, and don't think I will. My dad has all 11 that are out, and he's got up to # 10. So, I could read them when ever I want, but my list of books to read is laready super long. Both my parents are book worms(though my dad's more into major clasic series that are well-known while my mom is into just little not-so-popular romance/adveture novels). But, unless the last of the series is finnished by Robert Jordan's son or something, I don't think I'll read them because I don't want to be left hanging at book 11. Like my dad will be...

But, in a way, I really want to read them because I've heard so much about them, and they look like my kind of books! They look really good, and I was about to start reading them in 2008 until I heard RJ died... *tear*

Well, Eruraina, they're definitely worth reading even without the twelfth book, despite the fact that you, like the rest of us, will be left hanging at the end of Knife of Dreams. They are very much worth reading.

Both my parents are avid readers (though my dad more non-fiction and my mom isn't so much into adventure/fantasy) and my dad describes me as a 'rabid' reader. Heh. How complimentary. Yeah, I read a lot. I go into the library and come out with a stack of books two feet high. Luckily my parents think reading is a good thing :)

My mom reads a lot, and so do all of my sisters. My dad doesn't.

But my twin and I are both definitely in the 'rabid' category--whenever I go to the library, the minimum number of books I get (per week) is seven, each at least 600 pages, if possible. That's the best way, in my opinion. :D

When I read WoT for the first time, I had like six out of the library at once.....they didn't have the others. :annoyed2:

But now that I own them, I don't need to go to the library anymore. Of course, I can only do so when I'm in the USA ever two years, so it's not like I could anytime soon, anyway.

I go to the library every second or third Wednesday, and generally get out twelve or thirteen reasonably thick books. I have a stash of them for the holidays :D

So I was randomly thinking about WoT today (while I was doing math) and pondering how I never was quite sure what was going on with the Forsaken near the end there. Was Cyndane Lanfear, or not? And which of the Forsaken were dead and which were coming back, and do we know where all of them were?
