Catherine Called Birdy, The Midwife's Apprentice, The Ballad of Lucy Whipple

those are my favorite books by jane yolen...she's a great author. i love historical fiction. anyone else a fan?

OMG! A historical fiction lover!!!!I've been searching for forever for someone who enjoys historical fiction like me!!!! I love Jane Yolen! My favs of her books are Catherine Called Birdy, Queens Own Fool, The Cage, and The Midwife's Apprentice. :)

Ooo! Yay! I remember reading those books a few years ago! I really liked them!!! :-D I really liked Catherine, Called Birdy, I think I'm going to read it again :P

that's so cool! i didn't think anyone loved historical fiction like me. did jane yolen write Girl in a Cage, about the scottish princess and stuff? i could go look but i don't want to go upstairs. just curious.

I believe she wrote 'Girl in a Cage.' I've read a couple books by Jane Yolen, and they were all very good. :) Jane Yolen wrote Catherine Called Birdy? I thought it was Catherine Cushman or something like that.? :confused:

I thought Girl in a Cage was called The Cage. Ah well....what do I know, I haven't read it in a while. :)

actually yes, karen cushman wrote catherine called birdy, the midwife's apprentice, and the ballad of lucy whipple. i knew that already, but then i had them mixed up. but anyway. i do that sometimes. lol

but Jane Yolen is really a good author, even if she didn't write the books you mentioned. I read a few of her books about King Arthur and they were excellent
