Well, Frodo, I have to disagree with you there. Just because you can't figure out who the criminal is before the end doesn't mean that they're really good mystery novels (I've read some that I consider better). The thing with Agatha Christie's books, though, is that she doesn't give you all the clues, normally, so you have no actual way of figuring it out until the end, when new facts are mentioned (I have gone back through several books looking for mention of some of the decisive facts that are presented as proof, and they are unmentioned previously, in most circumstances).

Hey, I've predicted Agatha Christie novels before. Some of them are predictable... (including the one that is considered her masterpiece... )

Oh yeah, that is certainly right. I just wanted to say that her novels are not like the boring ones, where you know after 100 pages that the husband killed his wife because he wanted to marry another woman and so on.

I've never noticed that. :duh:

I LOVE Agatha, even more than Tolkien cause it came first in my "reading life", hehehe.
I have read more than 30 books of her, but there's still soooooo many books to read! My favourite so far is "The murder of Roger Ackroyd".
I don't like Miss Marple so much, Tommy & Tuppence are fantastic and Poirot is the greatest (amazing, brilliant, bizarre!).
I din't watch many movies but the few episodes with David Suchet that I saw, I just love! He fits perfect to the character. Once I found a picture in the Internet with David Suchet and the actors of the Fellowship... I go so excited, my two favourite characters of the entire world together!!
Hmmm... I think I'm overreacting a bit, but I'm a really big fan! I have a site about Agatha Christie but it's in portuguese, so I guess you're not interested, hehehe.

Wow! You reall are a fan! I would love to see you site anyway. I have just read the Murder Of Roger Ackroyd although as I have seen the TV epsiode I knew how it ended. It is a clever story. David Suchet IS Poirot. There is no-one like him. I like him so much I wrote to him and got his autograph. :-)

I am currently reading all of her books. There are 80 altogether and I've read 28. So I've a long way to go, but I'm really enjoying reading them. I read 9 books last month. :-)

I think I have about 12 of her books left to read. It's taking me over a year to read them all now, lol. My favourites have probably been Murder on the Orient Express, I and love all her Tommy and Tuppence stories.

I have read most of Poirot books, not that many of Miss Marple. I adore her intrigues and writing style (and that her books are tiny so you can read many of them in small time ^^).
