I actually quite prefer reading non-fiction to fiction books. I'm not really sure why. I have a couple fiction books I like (Like LOtR) but mainly I'm into non-fiction. I guess you could say I have a yearnin for learnin. I mainly enjoy reading books on philosophy or on the human brain...things like that. Not really sure why. haha I like to think up my own stories, but I don't really care for reading ones that others made up. Anyone else here like that? |

It mostly depends, If I like it I'll read it.... Right now, the nonfiction book I'm reading is "The Oracle" It's about the Oracle at Delphi...very interesting! However at times it reminds me of reading a history book from school....even though it really is a history book ![]() Anyways, I like reading about history, it's really interesting....So, what kind of non-fiction does everyone else like to read? |

I agree with Sida. It all really depends. I do enjoy non-fiction though. Two of my favourites are "Endurance" and one about Ned Kelly. I think it was the letters of Ned Kelly...I can't remember. But they were both really interesting. I haven't been reading much non-fiction lately...unless you count Aristotle, Plato and The Communist Manifesto. ![]() |

I tend to prefer fiction, but like you said, books on philosophy and the human brain are a very interesting read! |

Non-fiction is fascinating because it's about stuff that actually happened, information about the world that we actually live in. It helps us stay informed about the past and present, and can be a good read if it's about a topic that I'm interested in. ![]() |

Right now I gots a book about Vikings, a several weeks ago it was one on Classic, Celtic, and Norse/Baltic/Slavic mythology. And really this year I pretty much borrowed books on the Nazis, Norse mythology, and Vikings ![]() ![]() |
