YouTube is asking classical musicians to audition for the first ever YouTube Symphony Orchestra. Composer Tan Dun (who wrote the Oscar-winning music for
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) has written the Internet Symphony No. 1, and the winners of the auditions will be flown into New York City to play it in Carnegie Hall. YouTube is also asking classical musicians to submit a video of themselves playing their instrument's part of the Internet Symphony so they can put together the videos and (theoretically) have the whole world playing the symphony together via video.
Isn't that a neat idea?

I don't think I'm good enough to even try to audition to go to Carnegie Hall, but I might give Internet Symphony video thing a shot.
