I know! It's awesome.
Congrats!
I am finally getting to see them. They're opening for Muse when I see them in August.

What what what???? Muse, which is an English band, is opening for MCR, which is American, in the US. and now Cold War Kids, which is American, is opening for Muse, which is still English, on an American tour, oui??
Confuseness....
Anyway, I don't know who's opening for CWK here, but I'm excited nevertheless.... BUT... my friend couldn't go, so now I asked another of my friends who would really like to go, but alas... there might not be tickets left now...
Sadness...

That is correct. Muse starts their headlining tour for Black Holes and Revelations in August, with CWK opening for them. AFTER they're done with MCR.
Bah... My suggestion would be to take a large stuffed animal instead of a friend. Then give it to Nathan and tell him it's "from Tim4x, a creepy kid on the internet"

Hmm... *chuckles* I like the idea about the teddy bear and the 'creepy kid on the internet'
In the midst of my immense sadness... and excited joy, of course.... I hope I wont have to go alone, there might be tickets left to be sold at the door.... I've been to two concerts this week.. or actually one concert an one live music event... acoustic *drools* I love live music but it's always nicer to go with someone *crosses fingers tightly*
I don't like how my life seems to take the same unfortunate turn as yours... *paranoid*
I fear someone will jump out from behind a lamp post a yell food poisoning any minute.....

Cold War Kids... are... energetic...
They were best at their 'hits': Hang Me up to Dry, Saint John and Hair Down.
They had to warm up performers who took up the first hour of the concert and then they did sound tests and whatever they did, for over 30 mins... I was so ready to go home while we waited. I was sooo tired! They had sort of a spoken words poet to open and he was pretty good actually, but not to warm up for a concert like that. Then they had another 'band' performing.. probably some old friends who never had their break through or some people they owed something.... they sucked!!
But the concert itself was fun... spoken words artist broke a bottle of wine because he was drumming so energetically on it and the pieces almost hit a girl in the front row.

*Finally gets around to replying*
The best you can say about them is that they're energetic!?
Besides the three you mentioned, did they play Robbers or Hospital Beds? *Eye twitches* I can't wait until I get to see them.
Bah. Opening acts. Unless they're openers for someone huge they're rarely good. Spoken Words Guy sounds funny though.

I didn't say they were energetic!! Actually, I didn't say anything about them.. but I can.. if you like. The concert was good... I love live concerts! But unfortunately, I was so tired. I had been working from very early, then I had to go to a study group meeting and then meet up with my friend before I went to the concert... It reminded me slightly of the time we went to see STOMP and I hated every minute of it bcause I happened to have a headache and I couldn't deal with the noise that particular day, lol.
Well, they did play Hospital Beds.. it came pretty ealy in the set... but I don't remember Robbers...
And if you're going to see them live, you should really look forward to Spoken Words guy!! I loved his performance before, during and after the show!!!
