Sorry, thats my crappy english...Im dutch. Anyway, i really dont like metal. I think they are people screaming with a guitar

There are SOOO many Metal bands with incredibly talanted singers! Non-metalists (aka people who don't like metal) tend to think Metal is all noise and screams when there are so many Metal bands and types of sub-genres that are the exact opposite!

Exactly.
I can name at 10 bands (at least) with awesome singers and not including female vocalists.
Edguy, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Kamelot, Thy Majestie, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Dragonland, DragonForce.

I think it's just like a North American stereotype. I mean most mainstream metal in N.A. is the stereotypical metal, and it's ingrained in people's heads. I've only been in Europe once, and only in obscure parts were metal is only starting to penetrate the country. So I don't know how it is there. But I'm sure more mainstream metal from here goes across the pond then the reverse. Well sure bands like Children of Bodom and especially Cradle of Filth are popular amongst metal heads here, but thats the point - they're black/death metal (symphonic, yes, but still screaming).

It's a general stereotype, that's only added too by the media.
Definetly goes on a lot here in the UK as well.
