Alright, so I'll try my best to recap the show from my eyes.....
As we passed the Paramount Hotel a couple came out of the doors and then man stuck a Loreena McKennitt ticket in his pocket. At this point, I grinned foolishly because I had realized other people had come to Seattle to see her as well. I've been living in a conception that she is not well known...Anyways, after we passed the Paramount hotel, the theater was only a short distane away;
After the men at the door scanned our tickets we proceeded to the lobby, it greatly reminded me of a theater we have in Montana, because it too is very historic and elaborate. I proceeded to buy some merchandise; some postcards to hang on my wall and a small poster as well. We then stood by the doors waiting to enter (we were a little early). Once they opened the doors, we entered, the stage was beautiful (I took a picture...OooOo I'm so bad...)
It was amazing! Around 8pm the lights dimmed after a few moments a light came on and Loreena was playing her harp, she began the evening with "She moved through the faire", at this point I began to cry. I know, I'm so pathetic, my explanation is that I've waited 13 years to see her live and I finally did (meeting her definitely was an extra bonus!). She played; The Highwayman, The Bonny Swans, Greensleves (Someone had requested it for their anniversary!), The Old Ways, Penelope's Song, Beneath a Phrygian Sky, The Mystic Dream, Dante's Prayer, Proluge, All Soul's Night, Caravanserai, The Lady of Shallot and those are the ones that I can think of, I know she played more....because she did 2 encores....The audience was wonderful because everyone knew the songs and got really excited when she began playing the songs. It was wonderful....Anyways, after the show we took a few more pictures of the theater:
and then went to the back where the tour busses were, there was a crowd of about 30 people gathered. Slowly the musicians filtered out, the fiddle player and the celloist. Both amazing artists and then finally Loreena Came out:
She met everyone, when it was my turn, my back was to her because I thought she was going to meet the person next to me and I was talking, but when I turned around there she was! My first reaction was; "Hi! How are you?" (instead of the gushing that everyone else did) she replied "I'm alright! How are you!?" I replied "I'm Great!" and then we laughed/giggled. I now think I should of said something else...but.....oh well...she then signed my program...it was great...I'm going to have it framed...Hehehe....Anyways...there we go....

I love Celtic music... are there any other musicians here? I play flute and tinwhistle, and i also sing. I used to play violin, but i wasn't good enough to play all the really fast jigs and reels that I wanted to play... but that's what the whistle and the flute are for.

I love Anuna! They are great. And I've been meaning to find some Celtic Woman but I haven't. -_-
Bagpipes are AWESOME!
And the Gaelic language is so beautiful.

I absolutly love Celtic, my favorite bands are Celtic Woman, Enya , and Carnivale of Souls. I preform Celtic Dances, and I can sing Celtic songs. One of my friends at school, her dad owns an awesome celtic band, Carnivale of Souls, The dad actually wants me sometime to perform with them, isn't that not awesome!!!

Iona, Eden's Bridge, Clannad, Capercaillie, the Chieftains, Maire Brennan, Enya, Kate Rusby, Anuna, Loreena McKennit, Cherish the Ladies...many more that I don't really listen to, but like their music.
I love celtic music, it's almost the only thing I listen to! I'm in the choir at school, and we sing a lot of celtic music--so my director often gives me the solos for the celtic songs!

I listen to a lot of Celtic music myself but am not familiar with very many of the artists. I guess I listen to a select few of the artists such as Celtic Women and High kings and a few others. (some of which I really don't even know the names of) I do, greatly enjoy the celtic music, though. I've always wanted to go see one of the celtic or irish groups in concert but I have never been able to.
