Aww, two good bands... but RHCP has been around for a lot longer than Muse... isn't it a bit unfair....? Well, on the other hand RHCP might have become a little rusty over time....

How will the winner be proclaimed?

My two favourite bands ^^ I think the Chilis personally...music wise as well as Anthony Kiedis being much hawter than Matt Bellamy

Ooo, I like both but I'll have to go for RHCP. Me loves them. I think Muse are fabulous, but I have to be in the mood for them, whereas I can always listen to RHCP.
Elegost Eruaphadion wrote: Right, let's start the discussion going. What does everyone think Muse and RHCP's most emotionally good lyrics are? I'll say mine in a bit. Mine are as follows... Quote: Dosed - RHCP
"I got dosed by you and Closer than most to you and What am I supposed to do Take it away I never had it anyway Take it away and everything will be okay In you a star is born and You cut a perfect form and Someone forever warm Lay on lay on lay on lay on Lay on lay on lay on lay on Way upon the mountain where she died All I ever wanted was your life Deep inside the canyon I can't hide All I ever wanted was your life Show love with no remorse and Climb on to your seahorse and This ride is right on corse This is the way I wanted it to be with you This is the way that I knew that it would be with you Lay on lay on lay on lay on Lay on lay on lay on lay on Way upon the mountain where she died All I ever wanted was your life Deep inside the canyon I can't hide All I ever wanted was your life I got dosed by you and Closer than most to you and What am I supposed to do Take it away I never had it anyway Take it away and everything will be okay Way upon the mountain where she died All I ever wanted was your life Deep inside the canyon I can't hide All I ever wanted was your life." Quote: Starlight - Muse
"Starlight I will be chasing the starlight Until the end of my life I don't know if it's worth it anymore
Hold you in my arms I just wanted to hold You in my arms
My life You electrify my life Let's conspire to re-ignite All the souls that would die just to feel alive
But I'll never let you go If you promised not to fade away Never fade away
Our hopes and expectations Black holes and revelations Our hopes and expectations Black holes and revelations
Hold you in my arms I just wanted to hold You in my arms
Far away This ship is taking me far away Far away from the memories Of the people who care if I live or die
And I'll never let you go If you promise not to fade away Never fade away
Our hopes and expectations Black holes and revelations Our hopes and expectations Black holes and revelations
Hold you in my arms I just wanted to hold You in my arms I just wanted to hold."
It was a toss up between Starlight and Endlessly. Very hard to choose IMO.
Maybe you could put a poll up, Ellie...

Hmm I must say that RHCP is my personal favourite. I'm not really what you would call a RHCP fan, but I like their music a lot.

Having heard a grand total of one Muse song, I will say that RHCP is better. Ellie's converted me that far, at least.

MUSE. MUSE. MUSE. MUSE. MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE! MUSE!
I actually like both bands a lot. The Chili Peppers are good. But Muse is the greatest band ever. They just are. It's a fact of life. I can't believe they're not winning.
Concerning the thing about the lead singer of RHCP being hotter than Matt, NO. No one is hotter than Matt Bellamy. It's another fact of life.
I don't listen to RHCP enough to be able to pick the most moving of their songs. As for Muse, Starlight is my definite favorite, but someone (I think it was Este, but I'm too lazy to check.) mentioned Endlessly earlier, and those lyrics are AMAZING. I also like Sing For Absolution and Blackout. And about fifty others. Their lyrics are just insanely wonderful. It feels like they read my mind sometimes. It's creepy. But awesome.
So yeah. Muse rules over everything else. I'm done.

Hmm, well I have to say I'm a big fan of Kiedis. After reading his autobiography I think I've grown to like him even more.

eh well I voted for Red Hot Chili Peppers cause I really like them but since I havn't even heard Muse it was prolly a little unfair of me. All the same, I still think RHCP are good. =P

^You guys have to listen to some Muse!
They are so amazing.
I would recommend listening to Starlight, Map of the Problematique, and Hysteria for starters. ALL of their songs are amazing though!
And about RHCP, I have never actually heard them before. I will when I get around to it (I.E when i'm not so busy)

I like both bands, but I vote RHCP. John Fruscainte is amazing, and I prefer their style overall.
