Have any of you heard of Phil Wickham??? He rocks!!! He is a singer (Christan!) and his music is great for anyone!!!!!! My Favorite song is from his new album called "Phil Wickham | Cannons" and it is called Sailing on a Ship! Here is the chores:

I'm Sailing on a Ship thats bound for life | I ressle with the wind agenst the tide | I leave it all behind to reach for more | I'm sailing on to Your Golden shore |

And that one was based on a Narnia book. His favorite chartitor is Repercheep! I think that is how you spell it. Well, the other one I REALLY like is Called After your Heart, and here it gose:

Can I have your attention | What are we starting here | Just look around you 'cuz the awnser is clear | Lisen Lisen | And hear the coming sound | All of the children are singing it loud | Lets be the reveloution | That lives for holding nothing back, nothing back| We're after you heart | After your heart | All of the walls know are breaking apart | Live like we see it Love like we mean it | This is the start | We're after your heart |

And there is more but I want you to hear it yourself! He rocks! He has a great voice too!!!!! I went to a consert he did and I fell inlove with his songs.

I can't say that I have heard of him.

Why did you feel you had to announce his religion?
Surely it wouldn't matter what faith he was. I'm not trying to offend or anything. I'm just curious.

Yeah, I understand that. But a band or singer can be Christian and not necessarily write Christian music.

yeah, i agree with elegost. I think of it as the same way as Pagan Metal. the religion is part of the music.

I guess I must just be some sort of weirdo then.
I've never had the urge to say something like "Oh you must check out this band because they're Pagan/Whatever".
I'd be more likely to describe the style and how good they are. If someone asks..then yeah I'd perhaps acknowledge it. But it's not something that's overly important to me.

My Faith has nothing whatsoever to do with the music I listen to.

It really shouldn't make a difference.
Good music is good music, irrespective of if there's a religious message or not.

I understand the intent of it. Just the wording seemed a little off imo.
Surely if it wasn't mentioned someone would have asked what style it was anyway?

I think what Phoenix meant was that instead of focusing on his musical genre you focused on his religion, which is totally irrelevant as it says absolutely nothing about what type of music he does. Not only does Christian music contain a gazillion of sub-genres (anything from pop to heavy metal) but there are tons of Christian artists and bands who do 'secular' music only (again, a gazillion different sub-genres) so emphasizing an artist's religion (as if that would make him more worthy listening to) wasn't really called for.

That's all ;)

You know I love ya right?

That's exactly what I was trying to say, but me being the clumsy oaf with words. It looked like something else, and I got sidetracked talking about other things.
