Sigur Ros.
it means "Victory Rose" in Icelandic.
sometimes they sing in Icelandic, sometimes in Hopelandic, their made up language. they make amazzzzing music.

(but of course timtimtimtim already knows this) :P

their albums are Von (Hope), Ágætis byrjun (An Alright Start), ( ) (all in hopelandic, and all untitled), Takk...(Thanks), Hvarf-Heim (Haven-Home), and, most recently, Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (With a buzz in our ears we play endlessly).

best part? they have free downloads of a LOT of their songs on their site for English speakers:

Yes, yes I do. :P

I can't remember how I first discovered them, but I can say is that their music has gotten me through many extremely stressful exams. XD

So, I actually don't own any of their albums. *Gasp* All I have of them is what has been offered on the free download page, plus what I can find on youtube. My favorite of the free downloads has got to be "Síðasti bærinn 5." It is one of the most beautiful instrumentals I have ever heard. :drool:

I really want to purchase Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust when I have money again, because what I've heard of it is fantastic.

I love Sigur Ros! A friend once send me some music from them over the internet and I really liked it. The instruments they use are amazing so are their texts. (I guess they're Icelandic?)

I need to download more songs I think but my favourite is Bíum Bíum Bambaló. (And I have no idea what that means :P )

they're still awesome. especially since i got the rest of their new album.
i find "all alright" (the first english song) kinda funny, because if you weren't paying attention while you were listening to it, you'd swear that they were still singing in icelandic...
