I thought maybe I'd resurrect a pre-existing Flyleaf thread if I could find one, but I went back 15 pages and couldn't find one, so. XD

They have a new song up on their website from their new CD, Memento Mori, which comes out in October! =D http://site.flyleafmusic.com/

It seems that a lot of my favorite bands have been going downhill lately, so hearing that song really made my day. If thats any indication of what the rest of the CD will be like, then it was definately worth the four-year wait. I have high hopes for Memento Mori. ^^

YAY Flyleaf! :-D I am so stoked for Momento Mori. I just bought their single, "Again;" I heard it on MySpace the other day, and it's amazing. It seems like they're taking a slightly different direction with their music, but it sounds amazing. Lacey writes incredible lyrics, so I also have very high hopes for this album. :)

I've never been a huge fan of Flyleaf, mainly because the vocals don't impress me that much, but this new song....:swoon:. Oh my goodness, her voice has matured so much and I absolutely love it! "Again" is amazing. If the rest of the album is like this, I think I might have to buy it, or at least a few songs.

On their previous album, my favorite songs were "Sorrow" and "So I Thought" because her voice really stood out and was in perfect tune. :-P Plus, the lyrics are perfect.

I think I'm a Flyleaf fan now.

XD So I Thought, Sorrow, and Fully Alive are among my favorites from their debut album, but I also love Red Sam, because the lyrics are really personal for me, and Breathe Today is another favorite song of mine.

^ Oh you should've seen me after hearing Again.

Me, my sister, and our friend were in the car, and one of them somehow managed to randomly mention Flyleaf, and I freaked out, jumping up and down, and screaming "OH MY WORD FLYLEAF THEY HAVE A NEW ALBUM COMING OUT SOON" and all that, flailing my hands and stuff...it was so sudden too that I think I creeped them out. XD

...The fact that I had also drank two cans of cherry coke and eaten cake that day may or may not have had anything to do with my violent excited outburst...

Flyleaf came to a town just under an hour away right after Finals week last semester, but I couldn't get a ride. I seriously need to learn to drive. :-P

Anyway, my favorite Flyleaf songs are "Fully Alive" (my VERY favorite), "Breathe Today," "Sorrow," and "I'm So Sick." But I also really love "So I Thought" and "Cassie" and "Red Sam." Oh, and some of their less well-known songs-- "Penholder" and "Ocean Waves."

[Randomly: I learned how to play "Fully Alive" by ear, and arranged it myself. The arrangement I've done is based more on the acoustic version. Recently a friend and I sang it together as I played: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-aTxonNrDE ]
