Good idea, Aerlinn. :)

I love this video because it's very fragile, while at the same time very passionate. It's extremely artistic, and the imagery is beautiful - the fire and the rain. I guess something in me just connects to the sense of regret and self-destruction. Plus, it's one of my favorite songs of all time.

Tariel, that video has an amazing otherworldly feel. The passion and heartbreak is so touching! Plus, you know I love that song. :)

This video is crazy! Even if you don't like metal music, I highly suggest you watch this. I was blown away the first time I saw it. The concept is about a society in which the "infected" are persecuted and condemned. I find it so striking how the girl in the beginning can't hide her "infection" anymore and refuses to deny it any longer. This video and its sequel (The Sound of Truth) can be interpreted in so many ways, and this video especially comes across to me as a woman who can't hide her belief anymore and has to stand up for what she knows is right, even if it risks death.

SR - I liked it, though when I read in the side thingy what it was meant to express, I couldn't really find how that sentiment of isolation was portayed. It was very dramatic nonetheless. I must confess I turned the sound off after a while - I like metal, but not such a fan of screaming. :P

I don't think the producer of the video did a great job of getting his point across, but I do like how it's actually deep and you don't need the lyrics (I have no idea what they are :-P) to get the story. Hey, that type of music isn't everyone's favorite. I can only take it in small doses myself. :) I tried to see your video, but my stupid computer blocked it, just like how it blocks everything, even occasionally facebook. :disgust:

The imagery in this video is fairly similar to AF's video. I've always loved this video, maybe because I love how it's put together, or maybe I just think the lead singer's really attractive. :eyeroll: I adore the first verse of the song even though I don't really understand what it means. I'd like to here what you guys think the lyrics mean!

Yup, it works! The song is definitely compelling, and the video even more so. :)

Does this link work? :-P The sound's not as good, but everything else is blocked for me. Oh, computers, computers.

Some great videos have been posted. :) I'm enjoying watching them.

My video for today:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2exE-td4F3k

This is probably my favorite music video of all time. It's beautifully bittersweet. It's another one that can be interpreted multiple ways (particularly the ending). Also, the band is just so incredibly passionate performing this - Stephen Christian, the lead singer, in particular.

This song has been especially meaningful to me over the past two weeks, since my best friend's mother passed away. He was the one who introduced me to the song originally (two years ago now). Essentially, the message it leaves it to remember how brief and fleeting life is, and how we need to take hold of each moment and live and love as passionately as we know how.

Well, I always love this music video, partly 'cause it's got Noel Fielding in it :P, but I also think it's quite creative, and I love the old!style to it. And the song's brilliant too. :)

That was something I never heard before.. I thought it was actually quite strange. The clip was kinda weird but I liked the harp as instrument for a pop song

If you need a break or a moment of peace..

Just close your eyes and listen to this:

AF- Wow. I'm a big Anberlin fan, and I know I've started watching that video before but never finished it. It really gives you something to think about! I'm still wondering what happened at the end, but that's a good thing. :)

This video is quite long, but I think it's worth watching. I saw this a couple of years ago, and I still think back on how powerful it is. The storyline is slightly similar to AF's video, but in this one the ending is very clear and horribly bittersweet. This song has very few words, but the video is accentuated by the simpleness of the song.

This one doesn't have deeper meaning, or atleast not that I can see. It's just silly, and it's got cute fluffy puppies in it. xD

Since I'm very behind the times and have just recently developed a fascination with this song, I'm going to post a link to its video, even though it's more of a live performance thing than a music video.

This old Ranger will post an oldbie from back in the day....

This video/performance really touched me deep when I first saw it. I always liked the song, but seeing this film-clip was amazing!

Kansas - Dust In The Wind

I remember having hair like the singer's.

Hmm.. we used to have a YouTube video thread, didn't we??? Where did it go?? :teehee:
Umm anyway, this will do too. This is an acapella medley of Euro-dance songs from the 90s.. Though dusty as it may sound, it's so much fun and funky!! But it may help if you're familiar with Euro-dance from the 90s.. it will enhance you experience of the irony and nostalgia. :) And if you're not familiar with this quirky sub-genre you may still enjoy the originality of the video. Oooh and the catch is that I went to school with the blonde girl in the bottom right corner! She rocks, she played Sandy in the school musical Grease. :P

^ You just click the YouTube button and insert the full YouTube URL in between the tags. :) Nice video by the way. Very cool!

This is my music video for the day. A wonderfully morbid, macabre and haunting song with an equally morbid, macabre and haunting video. It's bizarre and enchanting at the same time. Love it!

I tried... but it doesn't work... Look.

I think it might be because it's linking to a channel... and not to.. 'just' a video... perhaps?

I loved the video to that song... It was my first taste of Nick Cave and I think one of the first lyrics I was able to understand in English.. which just made it all the more morbid... I just never understood why her name was Elisa Day! But yeah.. :P
