This isn't on YouTube so I can't imbed it, but it's well worth the click! When the microphone died, 18,000 Canadian hockey fans sang the U.S. national anthem! I didn't take a video of this last night as I was to into listening to and watching the show. This is from the show in San Francisco a couple weeks ago. My friend Molly Rogers is playing the violin and Tina Guo is playing the cello. |

This song originates in the 1800s about the Irish uprising in the late 1700s It's a well known Irish tune and even taught in schools in Ireland to my understanding.  |

Yes, I thought it well done too! Gregg Allman, another rock icon of my youth has passed away. Back when I was listening to the Allman Brothers and getting a taste of what I called 'country rock', these guys were into hard living. The live album they did at Fillmore East was what turned out to be a pinnacle for the band. It was not long after when the guitarist Duane Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident, and I remember back then how devastated I was. I lost some of that vibe for the Allman Brothers after that, but Gregg Allman really had a voice. |
