I needed to vent out my anger somehow, so if you need to too, feel free to post your rant in this thread. I apologize if there is already a thread for this. I didn't see one. OKAY. I am SO SICK AND TIRED of this new electronic sound voices have. My friend just introduced me to Ke$ha and while her songs are infuriatingly catchy, she exhibits what I think is so wrong about pop music (and I know I'm definitely not alone on this). With autotune talentless (that might be a bit harsh) people can now become famous and sing songs that they didn't even write in the first place. I just hate the fake-sounding voices, but I still listen to the music so I guess their ploy worked. It is just so obviously a marketing scheme and the singers are so fake. It's disgusting. |

I'm mad at the music industry for a few reasons... Mostly country & pop... 1) Why do you go and screw up an awesome song by putting an unnecessary cuss word in it? I'l be singing along, rocking to a song, and then they go and exercise their potty mouth and I just want to slap them!!! There's my country rant. I <3 country. But they swear too much. I think I know a lot of artists like that though, not just country... 2) Why do you go and make a song that's so darn catchy, but its lyrics are absolute crapp? I mean, really! I love songs like Rite Round, Pokerface, Starstruck, etc., but I read the lyrics and they are so bad! There's a few country songs like that too. Gunpowder n Lead, Before He Cheats, Our Song... They are so catchy and upbeat and everything, but if they lyrics themselves aren't bad, their intent is! Gah. sorry. been on a ranting streak lately. want to smack a few people... lol |

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Mike's collaboration with link his business partner, Jacob, the English cognate of the last name on the watch. And 'Fritz' means link 'peaceful ruler,' which might as well be Jacob's title at their company. It was, I said, a hell of a coincidence. A few days later, still wearing the Seamaster, Mike took Jacob out for drinks. He referred to him as 'Mr. Jakob,' link thanked him for 25 years of loyal cooperation, and handed him the watch. |
