Some of my best friends listen to things COMPLETELY opposite from metal. And I like artists like Die Antwoord, Shakira and Lady Gaga (recent development), Mariah Carey... so yeah.  _________________

The thing I've been a fan of for quarter of a century...Metal. I don't really like to categorise because I like pretty much something from every sub-genre more or less, even Glam . If I like it, then it's good and really that's all that matters to me. Same goes for anything else. Punk, Rock, Alternative, Indie, even pop. _________________

Although I really love alternative rock, I voted for "Classical Rock." I honestly love it! There is just something about the authenticity of the lyrics and even the music itself.

I love classic rock more than alternative too, lyric wise as well, but mostly because of the actual music part. There's not a lot of alternative bands of today that have the same guitar solos and what not come through in their music like the greats, like Slash from Guns N Roses, or like in AC/DC's music, or Aerosmith's.

I like almost anything except most country and hard rock. I especially like Classical, Alternative, Folk (fiddle), and Classic Rock.

I like alot of styles so I picked other, mainly because it's varied.
Lifehouse is my top listen but I also like the hard rock like Skillet or RED. I also like the rock music done by bands like Evanescence and Icon For Hire. Gotten into Gareth Emery lately. I also like LIGHTS. Just to name a few.

I recently discovered a violinist named David Garrett, and I love his cds! He'll play classical tunes from Beethoven on one track, and the next he'll do a violin version of an AC/DC song, with electric guitars and stuff playing with him, or he'll do a Celtic themed song, just a mix of stuff. Really a neat way to introduce a few styles of music to people through a beautiful instrument.

I honestly listen to pretty much anything accept Country and Rap. Though most of what I listen to is all over the map.
K-Pop, J-Pop, Electronica, Rock (all forms), Industrial, Instrumental/Classical... The list goes on. Most of which all those listed I listen to daily.
