Listening to Loreena McKennitt's An Ancient Muse album this morning. To me, the song Kecharitomene has a very Middle-Earthy traveling feel to it. I picture the Haradrim traveling north through Ithilien before they are attacked.

Around the time I was listening to Anita Baker and Clannad, another Middle-earth/Robin of Sherwood sounding band. My favorite love song is "Happy Together" by The Turtles. Before my husband and I were even married or had an "our song", a friend who was a guest DJ on a local radio station dedicated it to us. Actually, my favorite love song that doesn't have anything to do with me, has to be Eric Clapton's "Layla"! Not the unplugged version. To me that's a simple little ditty compared to the heartfelt anguish he's experiencing while crying for his Layla (Patty Boyd Harrison...). I mean, the guy is on his knees!
