Heh good thread.

Agreed on the All Saints. It takes a lot to offend me, but that attempt at a very meaningful song offended me.

My choice for good cover is weird, cause I'm not a fan of the original. The video is hilarious

another one I love but love the original by one of my favourite bands of all time.

"Nights In White Satin" and "Castles In the Air" by Celtic Thunder are awful covers, imo. I love CT to peices, but I wish they'd left those two to the Moody Blues and Don McLean. :annoyed:

Favorite cover:"It Was A Very Good Year" by The Turtles. As much as I adore Frank Sinatra's version, the Turtles's is awesome. :-D

Heart covering Led Zeppelin's Battle of Evermore live is, dare I say, better than Led Zeppelin doing it live! Nothing can beat the studio recording that is on the Led's 4th album with Sandy Denny (RIP) co-vocaling with Robert Plant, but live, the Wilson sisters take it. I think the reason they didn't play this song but opted for Stairway to Heaven at the Led tribute concert is because they didn't want to show them up :) It's is very Middle Earthy with a few references to Lord of the Rings in the lyrics. Have a look and listen...

I really like how they cover this song, especially all the sound effects this guy does.

I was going through some cover songs from Danielle Bradbery because she did the song "Grandpa Tell me About the Good old days." Which is one from the Judds some time back and I really liked her rendition of it.

I ran across this and loved the song. I had never heard the original so I looked it up and... honestly the original is good but I like this cover even better than the original.

These ladies of Zepperella can really play the cover out of When the Levee Breaks. Clementine channels John Bonzo, and Anna Karina really own the vocals and harmonica!

What was the name of that song Boromir? It sounds really familiar but yet I don't know that I have heard it before or not.

The Greatest by Sia. I have actually never heard the original. I guess I should.

This is a cover of Coldplay's song Don't Panic by artist Catherine Smith

Both of those I think did a good job. I honestly don't know the original songs but I do think they did well.

Honestly some cover sogs I like more than the original. I can never get the links to work on my phone but next time I'm on my laptop I'll try and share one I think is really good.
