I want an mp3 player
Don't really care what kind, as long as it can hold a few hundred songs! iPod's are cool-looking, though!

I'm planning on getting an MP3 player, but i have no clue what kind to get. I don't want an Ipod, the're too expensive. Do any of you guys have an MP3 player? if so, what kind and how does it work??? thanks! |

Haha, I was just about to post a thread exactly like this. I am looking at mp3 players right now on amazon, because I want one for christmas, but there are so many out there. Who here has one? what do you like/dislike about it? Luthien, I would recommend that you don't get an iPod. They are just a fashion statement. There are much more durable, and valuable (more storage for your money) players out there. |

I have an iPod. Mini, 6 GB to be precise. I wouldn't say that it's a fashion statement, personally. That wasn't why I got it, though I think that there is something behind it's popularity. It can be a pain, but it's been really good. I've looked at other mp3 players, and it honestly was much of a muchness in terms of price, space and size. I know people with other mp3 players, and they paid basically the same as I did. Though I think it does depend on how much space you want, and how much music you want to fit on it. But, yes, I've been mostly very happy with my ipod. |

I got a Creative Zen Touch 20GB for $200 and it's my pride and joy!! 
I'd much more recommend Creative than iPod, they never give you any trouble, they're cheaper, just as cool (if not cooler), long-lasting batteries, comes in tons of different sizes and colors and are easy to use. http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/

On a Zen Touch 20GB you can store up to 10,000 songs
and the battery lasts up to 20 hours! trust me, it does. i was on a train from New Orleans to Chicago (which took between 19-20 hours) and I could listen to my player for the WHOLE ride!! |

iPod? Cool, I wish I had one. I've got mp3 Canyon and it's only 2 days old but it's a fine machine; it's never let me down in those two days.
