I love listening to soundtracks, in fact, the majority of the music on my computer is soundtracks. What's everybody's favourite composer/soundtracks? I must say that John Williams is probably the greatest composer of our time--not just for writing film music, but for anything--plus I like Howard Shore and the music from The Shadowlands, Pride and Prejudice, and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I am a HUGE soundtracks fan, especially of scores. For me it's so hard to choose a specific composer I love the most, becaue I'm a fan of about 30 composers. Below are the composers I love and what soundtracks of theirs I love the most!

Danny Elfman: Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish
Debbie Wiseman: Tom's Midnight Garden
Don Davis: The Unsaid
Hans Zimmer: King Arthur, Pearl Harbor, The House Of The Spirits, Gladiator, The Lion King
Howard Shore: The Lord Of The Rings, Gangs Of New York
James Horner: Casper, Jumanji, Legends Of The Fall, Braveheart
James Newton Howard: The Village, Peter Pan, Alive
Jerry Goldsmith: Not Without My Daughter, Rudy, Small Soldiers, Air Force One
Jocelyn Pook: The Merchant Of Venice
John Debney: Cutthroat Island
John Williams: Jurassic Park, Home Alone, Hook, Harry Potter, The Patriot
Klaus Badelt: Pirates Of The Caribbean
Lee Holdridge: The Mists Of Avalon
Marc Shaiman: Patch Adams
Mark Mancina: Tarzan, Brother Bear
Michael Kamen: Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, The Three Musketeers
Michael Nyman: The Piano
Nick Glennie-Smith: The Man In The Iron Mask

Ooh, vikingmaiden, which P&P soundtrack is it? I liked the music on both movies.
I don't have that many soundracks, but of course I have all 3 LOTR. I have the Shrek sountrack as well, which is fun.

I found the P & P soundtrack for the recent film on the internet (actually, the official website, of all places) and I really, really like it. But then, it's very classical, and I like classial music.
I've also got LOTR, both Shrek, The Blue Planet, The Princess Bride, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and a collection (I believe it's called John Williams Plays the Movies - the guitar player, not the composer) and it's got things like "A kiss from a Rose", "Everything I do" and "The Mission"... and I think I have stuff from the Lizzie McGuire Movie - don't ask me why, because I've never even seen it.
I like soundtracks (I want the King Arthur one!), but I'm no where near as obsessive as Erulissë - that's one impressive list!

The King Arthur soundtrack is simply breathtaking! I'm listening to a song from it right now Just to clarify: I do not own all those soundtracks on actual CDs (I have maybe 30 or so soundtrack CDs) most are downloads from the Internet.

Oh my god. I'm addicted to soundtracks! On my Launch Cast radio station - that's basically all it is. When I started learning more about music and stuff I became more interested in the music in movies. I've got SO many, and not enough! I couldn't list them all . . . most of you have said the majority of composers.

The old one. I love all that classical sounding piano music I haven't listened to the newer version's yet, but I'm sure that's a good one too.

I'm listening to the Revenge of the Sith Soundtrack and I realized that I REALLY REALLY need to go out and buy all the Star Wars soundtracks. I mean seriously, they're all AMAZING. Yay for John Williams! If nothing else, I need THIS one, because it's so powerful. I'm not too sure about Episode II's soundtrack - a little too corny....but everything else! God, I LOVE Star Wars...
*dances around conducting like John Williams*

Yes, I also like PotC's soundtrack. Anyone know who composed the score to 'The Last Emperor'? That's a great soundtrack too--a lot of beautiful, traditional-sounding Chinese music.

haha, yes, but I like the Anakin/Padme love theme...that's a good one from Episode II.
All the Star Wars soundtracks are amazing.
