Someone from work put the cd "Plans" by Death Cab for Cutie on, and I immidiately fell in love with them...Anyone else? :-D

I recently read that DCFC is touring with Franz Ferdinand! It's so exciting, alas, no one ever comes to Montana *sigh*

I love death cab for cutie!!! i have plans...my boyfriend got it for me for christmas last year. I love the lead singer's voice its so soothing their music relaxes me all the time

Okay, I had to hunt down this thread, but I finally found it! Yesterday the new Death Cab for Cutie album was released, "Narrow Stairs". Yay! So, today I just went out and purchased the new Death Cab for Cutie cd "Narrow Stairs" and I am completely impressed! It's wonderful! So, all the DCFC fans should definitely go check it out, it's different than the others, and a tad bit darker especially when comparing it to "Plans".

I love all the songs on there, but especially, "Grapevine Fires", "I Will Possess Your Heart", "Bixby Canyon Bridge", "No Sunlight" and "Pity and Fear"

Wow.. I would have sworn there was another DCFC thread.. I'm almost positive I have posted in another one before... ohh well, my miserable memory may be decieving me...

I only have their first album and they never won me over with that, but I might go check out the songs you mentioned! :-)

Which album do you have? Because they vary in all of their albums...immensely.

Ohh okay... I'm glad you said that.. I knew I had posted about them before! :-)

Well, I just checked my DCFC songs and it seems it's a mix of many albums.. which might be why I'm not convinced.. it's quite inconsistant.. but I think I've got songs from Transatlanticism and Plans...

omg omg omg omg, i love DC4C, they rock my socks.

I'm a bad girl and just steal their songs off of limewire.

My favorites are Someday You Will Be Loved and I Will Possess Your Heart. They make me happy.

Ohh by the way, I kinda like All Is Full Of Love. At first I thought it was very wierd because they sound nowhere near the way Björk sings it but it has grown on me... :-)

Yes! You need it! It's a wonderful CD! It's a bit "darker", it's just a little more depressing than the other albums....However, it's strange, even though the lyrics are sad, the music is still a bit happy...sort of like The Smiths. :p Yep, the cd came out on the 13th :D

I think What Sarah Said and I Will Follow You into the Dark are the best, although they're all brill. :)
