I like classical music too, its so relaxing. Except my radio doesn't tune into the classical station any more, so I don't get to listen to it as much ;-;

I love classical. I like Wagner and Grieg--although I wouldn't really call either of those composers soothing, but they're great anyway! I also like Sibelius, but have only heard a few of his works. When I want to be soothed, I listen to Bach or someone like that. Tchaikovsky is cool too. And so is Brahms and Beethoven etc. etc.

There are others that like classical music? YAY! I'm not alone! THank the Valars! I swore I was. Okay, due to limited funds, and my radio being uncooperative, I haven't had a chance to listen to a wide spectrum of classical music, but, I like Beethoven, Vivaldi, Pachelbel, and Mozart. I've heard other songs by other composers I adored, but wouldn't you know I forgot or never learned the composer nor the title of the song!!! Ack!
Do you count Irish/Celtic as classical? If so, The Irish Tenors and the Chieftains are right up my alley!
Okay, I'm ending before I completely geek out over this.

I love classical music - I've basically been brought up on it, learning violin and viola, and waking up to a classical radio station since I was nine...
I love Bach, Bruch, Vivaldi, Eccles, Schubert (Unfinished Symphony! so much fun to play!!!), Mozart is alright, I really, really, really like basically everything I've heard of Faure... and their are many composers I've heard a piece here, a piece there that I like, too.
I like orchestrated stuff, strings, violin/cello sonatas, piano, and choral... can't really listen to opera... Barque is probably my favourite, but that is influenced by my playing - I just prefer to play Barque pieces... oh, yes, like Elgar too...

Oh, Bach especially. Also Verdi, and Mozart. I just love classical music. It's so rich, and catches so many moods.
I usually am driven to work because right now we only have one car, but whenever it's my day to have it I always listen to the classical station during my drive.

And when at the music class, I always pretend to be annoyed by Classi just to keep some un-nerdiness (yeah, if you listen to something noone else dos, you're a nerd. stupid x_x) daughterofkings wrote: y'know, they did some sort of study that says that listening to Mozart makes you cleverer...
Wow, did they? Cool. Must try it. xD
And I really have to learn to play piano even though it's a wee but late.

I don't own any cds of classical music, but i will listen to it if it's on. I have a lot of repsect for it as musician and won't dismiss it at all.

My first music love was classical. Thats the main reason I like power metal so much; the two have a lot in common.

Why weird??
I'm a Mozart freak, and I also love Beethoven, Tschaikowsky,Chopin and Grieg, plus a lot more others.
I studied some classical guitar and piano some years ago.

Believe it or not, I listen to it now and then. Not as much as I used to though...I always had Classic FM on the background during the day or at night when I had trouble sleeping.
*Note to self* Must try that again...
My absolute favourite piece of classical music is Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner. Just stunning.
