Thats cool that you are from Purto Rico!
Yeah his songs are catchey and being from the US I cant understand alot of stuff he says, and he is one of the only.... actually he is the only reggaton artist I can name.
But it is really catchey. I do know a few words in spanish but it is mainly stuff like: heart, cat, hot, much. Junk like that.
But I love Daddy Yankee!

Reggeaton music is everywhere! I don't like it but I still have to listen to it because it's in all the radio stations, television, magazines, I mean everywhere.That's why I don't listen to local radio stations that much or watch TV.

There are a lot of other artist so keep your eyes and ears open since you like the genre :-D

This is a thread started by me to rant about my favorite Reggaton artist, Daddy Yankee. Daddy Yankee is a Purto Riccan native and his first dream was to be a professional baseball player. That dream sone went a strey when Daddy Yankee was shot in the back of his leg making it impposible for him to play baseball at all. When he was recoperating he started to sing reggaton. That is how this all started. Daddy Yankee is the only reggaton artist to have had two singles be on the charts in the US. These two songs were Gasolina and Rompe. Daddy Yankee is one of my favorite artist ,and this is where i will come to tell people about the songs, him, his movie, his clothing line, and so on. Please Enjoy!

I'm from Puerto Rico and reggeaton is super popular. Daddy Yankee is like the national hero for a lot of people here. In my opinion, Daddy is the only reggeaton artist I can stand and his songs are quite catchy.

Man---El Cangri is one of my favorite artists. I love the whole reggaeton world in general. Even though I am not Boricua (Puerto Rican), I still have a lot of friends who are and I love the culture. If you like reggaeton, check out Don Omar, Tito El Bambino, Wisin y Yandel and Ivy Queen. We have to liven up this board!

Yeah the music thread is like dead!!! I find it quite sad . Without music I would....DIE!... I think..... , but I was listening to Bario Fino today in the shower and I was laughing at this one song .... now I dont speak spanish but it just sounds like Daddy Yankee is like three diffrent guys yelling at each other

Hmm...well, a lot of songs must sound like that if you don't understand what the songs are about Could it be "No me dejes solo", with Daddy Yankee featuring Wisin and Yandel?

I don't like reggaeton but I'm around it a lot (it's ALL over the latin radio stations here)...and yeah there are tons of reggaeton artists
