Meh... I'm a violin player [been playing for 2 years now], but I'm really bad at it, and I don't enjoy it very much.

How old r u? I'm 13 and I've been playing for 7 yrs. I'm sure you're not bad! It's just violin is a hard instrument and you really got to have determination. No one's very good at the beginning.

I play violin and viola. I've been playing violin since I was six, and viola since I was fourteen, and I'm no where near as good as I would like. Nor do I find that I have time to practice a lot anymore. :( It's my own fault for not prioritising properly, I know, but I hate it... that I don't practice much, I mean...

Violin and viola? Wow! well, it must be hard to practise two at the same time, you know violin and viola have different notes (I'm not sure but the little figure that's before every row of notes makes them different...?) I play also the bass guitar, but that doesn't take much time to practise. Have you played any LotR songs with your violin?

Yeah, viola is in alto clef (I think :p), but you get used to it. It's worse when they put the viola music in treble clef, that really annoys, and confuses, me. I'm used to it, switching between them I mean, now.

I think I've tried to play a few LotR songs on the violin, but not for a while. :)

Oh, another viola player! :) We tend not to be common... Out of curiosity, did you start learning viola straight off or did you learn violin first?

My mom wants me to play an instrament and I have always wanted to either play the violin or the fiddle , so seeing as the violin thing I thought i would ask.

i am a b... well alot older than what you giys started the violin at and I hear it takes lots of practice. But I dont know if I have the knid of paticents to be my age and just starting something like this but i have always loved the violin

I guess you never know until you try. A lot of people picture up instruments when they are older. :) So you'll just have to see how you go.

But yes, it does take A LOT of practice...
