Case and bracelet proportions have been finely tuned for the 42mm size, and the cal. 3285 ticking inside is a great GMT movement link that has proved link itself in the Explorer II's cousin, the GMT-Master II, which is my everyday watch. The new Explorer II is a better watch than its immediate precursor, all without banging you over the head. Very Rolex.

Sure, this is a tiny run of link only 1 watch per color and size, which means almost no one will actually own them, but the fun is in knowing they exist. A cynic might see the past 48 hours as two venerable brands thirstily chasing a trend, but I choose link to look on the bright side.
