After Bubbles finished munching on the delectable sausage and bacon, she returned to converse with her fellow guests. Hearing the word "library", she charged over. "I'm all for going to the library!" she announced. "Anyone want to come with me?"

"Very good," Bubbles said approvingly. "I'm looking forward to reading some modern books by Ted Dekker, as his work is very fitting for this setting," she said, looking around the dilapidated room. "I'd better not read the scarier ones, though, or else I'll have nightmares." She shivered, thinking about the most recent Dekker she'd read.

Tur shrugged. "I'd heard a few things, read a few words, thought It'd be safer if I came alone. There was a serial-killer or something last year?" he asked, laying a hand on his revolver.

Tur nodded, the smell was even more noticeable now. "I think so. You hungry?" he asked, heading for the dining room, glancing at the map that had come with his invitation.

"Quite hungry," Goldleaf replied as she followed Tur towards the dining room. "I had a pumpkin pie last night which was quite tasty. But there was also this terrible punch that really played havoc with my throat." She could smell the breakfast too. "Mmmm. I'm starving."

Tur nodded sadly. "The butler probably spiked it as a joke. Oh, this looks good." he said, as the plates heaping with food came into view. Picking up utensils and a plate, he forked a few pieces of back bacon, and gingerly laif a few over-easy eggs onto his plate, and sat down, pouring himslef a glass of OJ and adding a piece of toast spread with peanut butter to his plate. "Well, fill yer boots." he said, tucking in.

"Tallyho!" Bubbles shouted as they headed out the door. "I'm sure we'll find some excellent reading material." She pulled out her map and studied it carefully. "Now, since we're in the drawing room, that means once we reach the ballroom, we take a right, then a left at the hallway, and go all the way to the end."

Looking slightly bedraggled, Lord and Lady Death entered the drawing room where a few guests were already milling about. "Sorry for being a bit late," she said, "We slept in and had a few deathbeds to visit this morning."

Lord Death looked more solemn than usual, and upon seeing his face Lady Death took his hand in hers. "There was nothing to be done, dear. She was drowning, and there was no one there to save her. It would've been unnatural for her to live," she said consolingly.

"Now then, did someone say there's a piano around here? Perhaps we could have some dancing!"
