That’s not a question, E~S.  Trumpenfreude – strange concept. Oh wait!!! Do you mean “Schadenfreude”? (A deeply German concept – and perhaps having made its way into the OED for its untranslatability by now???).

Wouldn’t all German words sound peculiar to someone whose formerly Old Germanic language has been polluted by a French dialect badly learned by some Vikings who lost their way?
