Ofcourse LotR!! Oh my gosh! I can't believe you'd ask me such a question. Without it there would be like no Narnia!

in which case Artemis my dear, you should state it, as Gwen said i believe, as an opinion and not as a fact. i was actually refering to Kess when i was talking bout the Narnia books - just exagerating things (as i always do lol ) and i respect Artemis' opinion but only when it is an opinion and not a fact. cos i don't think they're in the least boring.

LOTR is and prolly always will be my favorite movie. But its kinda like when people ask me what my favorite movie is, I dont answer LOTR, cuz its like my uber favorite. Kinda like how if you watch 24 and some one asks you who your favorite character is, you dont say Jack bauer, cuz he doesnt really count any more. You know what I mean. Its kinda hard to explain.....
But I like LOTR better

I think that both the Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia are good series for people of all ages to read. Depending on what I am in the mood for I would choose one over the other. For example, for a more serious and deep choice of book I would choose the Lord of the Rings and for a more charming and quick paced choice of book I would choose the Chronicles of Narnia. I cannot decide which one that I like better overall because they are both wonderful books and I would recommend reading them to anyone.
On a side note, I do not think that the Chronicles of Narnia is a book for children and the reason I say this is because the biggest fans of the series that I know are teenagers and middle aged people. I think that it could be compared to the Harry Potter series in terms of that it is appealing to a wide age group.

I agree with you on the opinion of an average fan of the Chronicles of Narnia probably would have been reading and would have been interested in the books from childhood. I know that I myself have been a fan of the series from my childhood. However I tend to notice that the older the fan is the more appreciative they are of the deeper meaning behind the stories and of the stories themselves and therefore they grow into an even bigger fan than they had already been. This is what I had meant by teenager and middle aged people being the biggest fans.
