Looks like we might have a white Christmas this year.

A display in the dashboard of my car is displaying “insp” because I had to cancel my yearly service (due in early December) recently. With only 87,000 km (54,000 miles) mileage, and the road safety inspection (every two years) only being due next year December, this can definitely wait until January.

Apparently the earlier forecast for a white Christmas has now turned into a rain/snow mix. An overall sloppy one. Yuck. Come on, we seldom get a white Christmas here.

“Our two” hares showed up again once again late tonight, grazing on our lawn / meadow. One of them came quite close to the walkway light in front of our apartment entrance door, even though my wife and I were babbling (quietly) on the balcony. :)

Ugh! It's been snowing steadily all day.

Since the persistent cloud cover of the last few days has given way to clear(er) skies, the daily temperature range has increased from mere upward and downward blips to a range of more than 10°C (18°F).

We had a rare white Christmas after all. Got nearly a foot of snow.

Yet another 80°/80% morning here in Brizzy. When the clouds aren't in the way, the sun blazes hot, and later the thunderstorms develop and it pisses down the moisture around evening to start the cycle over again the next day.

Looks like it's might be too bitterly cold to bring the kids to the First Night festivities in town on New Year's Eve. That bites.

Stay warm, Gersemi. We have snow here but at least it's above freezing, and there's no wind.

We've been having an Arctic blast here. Winds chills reaching chills reaching as low as -15 F over night.

And it snowed again today :annoyed: Mind you the Weather Channel was good for a laugh as it showed the roads on the Island as clear.

Yup, it was too cold for be outside for the events. The wind chill right now is -10 F. The kids were upset over this, there was very few people out there anyway.

We were lucky with the weather this year, as the temperatures were unseasonably mild (high single digits °C, high forties °F). And enough of a breeze to keep the fireworks from creating an unpleasant smog, which had occurred in other years. :yuck:

The Regional District finally plowed and sanded our road. Now I have to dig out the entrance to the driveway to remove the chunks deposited by the snowplow, so I can get the car out.
