Ended up having (only) the last three cups from our pot today.

Had an authentic Cuban espresso the other day. The first one was drown in sugar! (And since coffee is a liquid it takes a LOT of sugar to “drown” it!!) The second I took straight with no sugar. My wife’s Aunt (who’s husband is from Cuba) was quite unsure whether I would like it without sugar. It actually tasted pretty good, though. Good and strong. :)

Silly Urologist prescribed an antibiotic that cannot be combined with dairy products. Naturally, I found my way around the problem, and have been enjoying my daily coffee 'fix', with coffee cream. :innocent:

Cleaned and de-scaled the coffeemaker today, and ordered another kilo of Swiss Chocolate coffee beans.

Is that milk chocolate? Mind you, we're totally ignorant about all of these specialty coffees (as we are about pretty much all craft beers). I was just wondering if we could save on the milk we usually put in our coffee with that brand ... :-D

We also recently de-scaled our totally basic drip coffee machine.

I got a coffee from the gas station the other day. I was disappointing. :/ I think my Irish Cream and Highlander Grog have sufficiently spoiled me. :P

Yeah, if you start drinking better quality coffees, going back to the usual stuff is nigh impossible.

We brewed the „daily pot“ rather late today, and after I had gotten around to my (overdue) trimming of my beard, I suggested we might actually act on my wife’s earlier suggestion and do a special C&FRR concentrating on (cold) beverages, as the lift was back in operation again. Anyway, after we had returned from that “raid”, which my wife took advantage of in having us detour (very slightly) to the shop we usually buy plants at, netting us two potted plants, we still had almost half the pot of coffee to go through. Which didn’t take long …

I bought an extra kg of coffee today, just in case of inclement weather.

Today (or yesterday current time past midnight here) I had my first cup of coffee at the place I regularly get my hair cut. We had set our drip machine going at home, but it was just barely not finished with its job when I had to head over for the haircut.

I tried cold brewed coffee ... not a favourite I have to admit.

Same ol' routine. We've given up trying to find a brand of (normal) coffee that doesn't smell rather uninviting upon opening the pack, so we're back to the brand we've been drinking for years.

Second time in a few days that we've brewed a reduced pot (about 75%) after having "chugged away" the original full pot.

It happens that the company office I now work at has a DeLonghi coffee maker similar to the one we have at home.It has increased my coffee ibtake by one a day as I seem to have one at work with my first one at home and one I make in a go-cup which I drink on my commute. So I've been saving $4 a day not buying a cup before getting to the office.
