About my real name, my parents liked the meaning to it. Which the meaning does suit me great! Ha ha!
And my username, is because most of my friends call me Pippin. But I do have a lot of other nicknames as well, one that is catching up to Pippin is Jack, the other is Anakin. You might find it strange. But it's true.

Well, my name means 'silver maiden'. I came up with it long before I even found AU.com, or learnt about the idea of forums, for that matter.
I think it was just after I read the Silmarillion... I found the 'Elements of Quenya and Sindarin names' section in Appendix.
I had a bit of fun with a friend, coming up with different names and meaning. IN the end I decided that 'Celebwen' was the one I liked best; both how it sounds and what it means.
So when I decided to join AU, and my actual name (Jenn) was already taken, I decided to use that one. And its stuck now.
I find myself signing half my emails with it, which is kinda sad.
But there you have it. A full explanation of the origins of my one and only internet alias.
[s]Celebwen[/s]
Jenn
(just becuase I've never used that smilie before... thought I might.)

Hmm. MontanaBohemian. Well, I got Bohemian from my aunt who lives in California, who insisted on calling me a bohemian for some "odd" reason. The Montana part is pretty obvious, considering I'm FROM Montana and I live here. So, that's my story....

I like the fact that all your guys names means something... I don't think mine does, as far as I know. I think someone mentioned it once, but I can't remember...
If someone is a near expert on Elvish, I might ask them! Heh heh.

Well...*thinks for a bit* with my knowledge of Elvish, I know that many times the Elves will take actual Elven words and spell them a different way or replace a few letters here and there to make them sound different but mean the same thing. For example, the name "Denethor". The "Den" part in there means "water", even though the real Elvish word for "water" is "Nen". See what I mean?
But from what I can tell about your name Orry...I believe your name means something like "High Daughter" or "Above", or "Daughter of the Above", or something like that. Because "Oro" means high or above, and "iel" either means daughter or it is just a female name suffix. Really, you can choose whether or not you want to count the remaining part of your name, like the "Ruth" part.
 Have I confused you yet?
I know it sounds strange, but I actually have been struggling with the meanings of Elven names for a while, and actually, the Elves really are strange in the way they put their names together. The name "Thranduil" for example, can mean several different things depending on how you want to interpret the words blended into it. The ending of his name "Anduil", comes from the word "Anduin", which means long river. See the little changes they make in there?
So in that case Orry, the "Oro" in your name could also mean "mountain", which comes from the Elvish word "Orod", or it could also mean "Forever", which comes from the Elvish word "Ollo". You'd just be switching a letter or two around.
*shakes head* Wow, I think I should stop now. My head's not feelin' too good...*runs off to get ice pack*

My username I can proudly say I did not use a name generator for XD It is Quenya; Laire is my Quenya name (my real name, Suvi, means summer, and Laire is Quenya for summer... so ya). 'Ainu' is the singular form of Ainur, which are the spirits with Eru, the One... I read somewhere that the Ainur were a bit like angels, and when I first created this s/n, I loved angels. So my username has always been Ainu Laire.

Well, um... My name on the Forum (Springie) is very old. I remember I needed to create a rather unique name and I wanted it to start with an "S" (don't ask me why, lol). I was born in spring, so...
Also I felt that the word "springy" applied to my character quite nicely, so I decided to add the ending "ie" to give it a noun-ish feeling.
That's how I arrived at Springie. It's been with me for nearly 10 years,
As for my Elvish name, Anóriel, that was easy. My real name means "sunny" therefore I searched a certain database for the meaning. It gave me the word "sun" in Sindarin and Quenya and variation of suffixes. I chose that one It also has a distinct similarity to my rl nickname. I love that

That's so cool, Dommy! I like how that sounds, actually I thought it would mean something really dumb...
My name translation from A-U Forum is Calathiel, which I love the sound of, but too confusing if I changed it, no? Besides, I'd miss Ororuthiel too much My middle name translates to Manwathiel, which is ok, I guess...
