We all know it was traditional for hobbits to gift to others on their birthdays, but if you are helping us celebrate Bilbo and Frodo's birthdays on Sept 22, 2006....what sort of gifts would you imagine getting or giving to others for such an event? Post your creative ideas here!

I think I shall give out homemade loaves of bread. Hobbits like food, so Hobbit fans must too, eh? And baking bread is one of the few things I'm good at. |

I am bringing our school's world famous Frau Brownies [frau is Mrs. in German] Which consist of chocolate, chocolate chips, rice krispies, and marshmellows... Delicious!!!! I am also bringing gifts.. but that is a secret! |

Rad, you're bringing an amino acid? (Yes, I had to look that up). Make sure the pop comes in pints! I shall bring...gram crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. (=s'mores!) (This is due to the fact that I'm fully capable of burning water and therefore must _never_ be trusted to cook anything more complex.) |

Grey Pilgrim, (Gosh, do you have a nickname? How am I supposed to say all that everytime I talk to you?) hijacking the thread for a moment to ask you a question. How do you pronounce "s'more?" Rad and I want to know.

"pilgrim" works. Or grey, or gp, or "hey you!". I think the first is probably best, though.
I blur the s and the m and get "sm-oar" (the first syllable is stressed, but not very much). Sorta... does that make sense? |

*Grins* Okay, Pilgrim. Augh! It's pronounced "seh-moar", with a sort of schwa (however one spells that) sound in the first syllable. Sorry about that. Rad and I have a huge pet peeve with that word. *rolls eyes* We're a bit goofy. But anyway, to un-hijack, I'm very happy to hear you're bringing them! Yummy.
