Wouldn't we all love to learn how to play Tig? Inspired by Dom's made-up game, I thought this up when wishing there was an actual game with actual rules that you could play with friends by simply shouting 'tig!', 'tag!', and the like. Here is the product:
BASICS
Tig = 1
Tug = 2
Tag = 5
Tog = 10
Double tig = tig x 2, or 2.
Double tug = tug x2, or 4.
etc.
Triple tig = tig x 3, or 3.
Triple tug = tug x 3, or 6.
etc.
COMBOS
(In a combo, each type of tig (tig/tug/tag/tog) may only be used once)
Tig-tug = tig + tug, or 3.
Tig-tag = tig +tag, or 6.
etc.
Tig-tug-tag = tig+tug+tag, or 8.
etc.
MULTIPLES
4tig = tig x 4 = 4
5tig = tig x 5 = 5
4tug = tug x 4 = 8
etc.
All this game requires is some pretty basic math skills, and creativity! If your head is completely spinning, don't worry, there's more explanations coming up.
RULES
(tig=a move. 'Tig' is a tig. So is 'tig-tog-tag'. 'tig' in quotes refers to the actual 'tig'.)
-Must play a tig equal to or greater than the previous tig.
--example: 1. 'tig' (1) 2. triple 'tig' (3)
--not okay: 3. tag (5) 4. double 'tig' (2)
--also okay: 1. 'tig' (1) 2. double 'tig' (2) 3. tug (2)
-All games start with a single 'tig'
-You cannot repeat a tig in the same game.
--example: once someone plays tig-tug, you cannot say 'tig-tug' yourself.
-Game ends when someone says 'triple tog'. This (at 30) is the highest you can go.
-Cannot jump more than six numbers ahead from the previous tig.
--can do: 1. tig (1) 2. triple tig (3)
--can't do: 1. tig (1) 2. tog (10)
-You can't say a 'tig' multiple direcly after a 'tig' multiple
--example: DON'T DO 1. tig 2. 2tig 3. 3tig
-Can't 'tug' after 'tig'
-Can't 'tag' after 'tug'
-Can't 'tog' after 'tag'
In case I have thoroughly confused you, here is an example round:
Person 1:
tig (1)
Person 2:
double tig (tig+tig=2)
Person 1:
tag (5)
Person 2:
tag-tug (tag+tug=7)
Person 1:
tog (10)
Person 2:
triple tag (tag+tag+tag=15)
Person 1:
tog-tag-tug (tog+tag+tug=17)
Person 2:
10tug (tug x 10 = 20)
Person 1:
5tag (tag x 5 = 25)
Person 2:
Triple Tog! (30)
And the game is over.
RANDOM RULES for added fun:
-Any triple tig, tug, tag or tog must be accompanied by an LotR quote.
-Put a smilie in your post for each time you use 'tig' in your post
-When you triple-tog to end the game, you must use obnoxious font size and color.
-Any 'tig' multiple must be accompanied by the name of an obscure LotR character.
-If your tig contains a 'tog', you must write "I'm a pretty little pony!" beneath it.
Alright...are we all thoroughly confused? Let's begin!
