Finally succumbing to the festive music playing in the background, Daerka made her way to the field where the dancing had already begun. Swiftly, she joined the dancers in a jig that brought her full circle around the dance floor.

Tigerlily joined in step beside Daerka. "Mind if I join you?" She asked with a giggle. As the large circle merged into four smaller circles, Tigerlily glanced around to see a crowd of spectators along the edge of the floor, clapping to the music.

"Of course, the more the merrier!" Daerka yelled over the music and the clapping. She laughed at the sight they probably were dancing in circles all about the field. The feeling of excitement in the air was quite overwhelming.

"Here we are," Prisca motioned, "In the dance yard."

"Indeed," Frodo responded, "Let's find a spot over there, out of sight." The five hobbits headed over to a corner of the dance yard and started to talk about their plan.

"Alright," Merry said summing things up, "Here is what we have so far. Grab a firework, head over to the swimming hole to show Gandalf we weren't there."

"Wait," Prisca interrupted, "What kind of firework?"
"We will figure that out when we get there," Sam said, who had finally just accepted this idea.
"Fair enough," Prisca replied.
"May I continue?" Merry asked.
"Yes," Prisca insured.

"To continue," Merry hastened, "Firework, swimming hole. At the swimming hole lets start to push everyone in the water...that should do it for right now."

"Great!" Pippin exclaimed.

"What happens if we get caught?" Sam asked.
"Then," Merry thought, "We will blame it all on you!"
"What?"

Now the dancers began to weave in and out of each other, before doing the same as a large circle.
"These dances are very easy to catch onto," she yelled to Daerka.

"Aye, they are!" Daerka called as she and Tigerlily wove passed eachother. "Makes things a million times more fun!"

Goldie happily watched the large group perform a jig. She clapped, laughing along the sidelines, as she too was swept up in the fun atmosphere.

Frodo laughed, "He's just kidding Sam. We wouldn't get caught, don't you worry." Prisca nodded her head in agreement. Merry and Pippin did not respond for fear of being wrong. "However, now I am assuming we must head over to Gandalf's tent in order to go through with our plan?" Frodo continued.

Prisca only nodded her head again, but Pippin gave the more drastic answer of exclaiming, "Yes!"

Getting up, Frodo motioned everyone, "Well let's go." Merry, Pippin, and Prisca immediately got up and followed. Sam tagged along behind thinking, What have I gotten myself into?

(Heading to main party tree..)

Another whirl around the field and the dance ended quite abruptly. With bows and curtsies all around Daerka, who was breathing in the night air in great gasps, stepped off the dance floor and headed off to get a bit of punch.

Tiger Lily finally gave in to the music. While dancing usually wasn't her thing, it simply looked like too much fun. She laughed and clapped to a fast jig along with everyone else.

Freya, in her hobbit form, sat forlornly by the musicians. She was a wallflower, hopeing (probably vainly) that some handsome hobbit lad would ask her for a dance. She would absolutely not dance without a dancing partner. It would be wrong.

Poppy pulled her cold and beautiful partner, Edward, out on to the dance floor. She laughed as he looked around nervously, not quite knowing what to expect in such a festive and merry atmosphere. Within a few minutes, however, they were both dancing a jig merrily with all their hobbit friends. Edward never knew he could enjoy such a laid-back activity!

After a few dances, the two were ready for a cold drink, and headed off the dance floor.

Drifitng through the night air was the sound of laughter and music. Gwearyan moved swiftly through the trees to the field where the sounds were coming from. Just as she was about to join the crowd a familar voice spoke. "Would you care to dance". Smiling, Gwearyan turned to see James Norrington standing beside her in his Royal Nav attire, looking as dashing as ever. "I would like that very much" she replied, and linking arms they strolled down to the dance floor.

Freya slumped in her seat, only to start at the light touch on her shoulder. Spinning around she sees the boyish face of her husband, Frodo.

"May i have the honor of the next dance?" Frodo bows.

"Most certainly!"Freya jumped up and Frodo whirlded her away into the dance.

Mrytle and Haldir walked towards the dance floor. It is probably the one place Haldir really didn't want to be. He didn’t like the thought of dancing in front of a crowd, where people could see him. The two sat down on a patch of grass and watched the musicians play. Myrtle found it hard not to move around slightly in her seat to the beat of the music.
