i've had this idea to name my first girl child Laurelin (one of the two trees, translates to "song of gold," etc., just in case you don't know) just because it sound gorgeous. BUT, and this is a big BUT, i don't want to end up being known as the next weird parent to name their kid a weird name, just because i think it sounds so pretty. Thoughts? OH, and in my defense, i know of a girl from my school whose name is Eowyn. ![]() |

I think that's a great idea!! and it's not really that weird, because at least it looks similar to 'Laura' or 'Lauren'. |

Actually I think it's a great name, maybe one of Tolkien's that is really adaptable for real life in our real world! ![]() In France we have a name "Laure" (mine actually, my name is "Anne-Laure":P) which is pretty close to "Laura", an universal one!:P |

Thanks peeps! I was also considering Laure, because my mom's side of the family is French. Come to think of it, i think i'll be using French names when i don't do Tolkienite names. ![]() |

At the recent Miami Basel launch link of the Code 11.59 Starwheel, John Mayer made a comment during his discussion with Francois-Henry Bennahmias and Ben Clymer that stuck with me. He said he enjoys a watch that can win him over after a period of time. He enjoys having his mind changed. He went link on to explain how often the experts and people behind a brand can also change your feelings toward a watch. This resonated with me in link the rainbow context. |
