Getting ready to head outside in the sunshine and finish the weeding.

Fixed an appointment by telephone for tomorrow to get a haircut.

Had a good night's sleep unlike the night before and so I got up all refreshed and was going off to work early when my wife reminded me we had to take the dog to the vet at 8.

Today, thinking that Richard Dawkins' opinion on religion is spot on (as it has been for such a long time). Anybody got a problem with that - go look for non-sunshine habitation.

One of my molars is starting to ache. Guess it's time to go to the dentist.

Today was the first time this year that, despite the canopy shading the balcony having been extended to its maximum, sitting on the balcony was nevertheless uncomfortably warm.

Some rather disorganized thunderclouds passed by here just now, a lot of rumbling, but practically no rain. Just great, hardly any cooler, just muggier. :annoyed:

My poor right knee is playing hell right now. It's the one that got "bumped" a rather large, exuberant lab puppy last week, and the weeding hasn't been kind to it.

My wife's right knee (already once operated) is also acting up a bit, she has a doctor's appointment on Thursday. :-(

My sleep pattern changes over the spring as daybreak comes earlier. I find I'm now up by 6 am and in bed by 9 pm (although I read for an hour before going to sleep). I love early morning during the summer.

I'm gonna be a year older next week. No, just no. I don't want to get older. Can't I just go backwards?

If I remember rightly (can be an iffy proposition) I have about a 25-year head start on you on this issue. And unfortunately it seems the answer is a resounding no. :-(

Except, as I have also personally learned through relatives on my wife’s side as well as my own, a certain form of going backwards can take place – but dementia is nothing to aspire to. :-( :-( :-(

I actually enjoy having a birthday every year. It's a testament to the fact that I'm still alive and kicking.
