Well, the somewhat disheveled molehill I mentioned yesterday has been not just restored but expanded by the determined little critter!
Squirrels are seemingly avoiding our lawn / meadow recently, but one of the ravens showed up (and gave me a "whaddaya waitin' fer" look when I was on the loggia a few times, so I threw down a bunch of peanuts for him to lug away (the odd magpie also snatched a few of them).

Found the House of Bombadil with unread threads spilling onto page two, and now finding that Captain Boromir and Evil~Shieldmaiden are foiling my attempts to get them all commented or at least marked read.  _________________

Watched my cat Scooter leap 6 feet up the wall trying to get a gecko that was strolling alongat the top by the ceiling.

Watched two squirrels snooping around our meadow, chucked them down some peanuts, one of them started "hiding" some all over the place - occasionally in the side of one of the many molehills that have appeared over the last few moths. That black one seems to have some memories of me on the balcony, hopped closer up, got a walnut chucked down as a reward, which it immediately proceeded to carry off into the forest. The other, red one, at least noticed the walnut I chucked down close enough for it to see it, also headed off for the forest, but with several false starts due to dropping the walnut - seems to be new to them and hasn't got the technique for carrying them quite down yet.  _________________

Chucked down walnuts for several of the (apparently) senior squirrels who noticed me on my balcony, then chucked more walnuts down to keep the two ravens from getting on the squirrels' nerves. Everyone was walnut-happy.
