No wonder. It was a (bad) copy in the science fiction mode to begin with way back when, as George Lucas confessed at some time after the first film premiered (1977).

Narnia is pretty close to Star Wars

Haven't read the Narnia books. Have a fattish (single-volume) version of C.S. Lewis's "Cosmic Trilogy". Consider the Charles Williams-influenced third book "That Hideous Strength" (more that half of the total trilogy by pages) certainly alien to the first two books "Out Of The Silent Planet" and "Perelandra" (title "Voyage To Venus" in the US - ah, never mind ...). Skipped reading the "modern realist" chapters of "That Hideous Strength" after the first read ...

Tornado warnings here in Massachusetts. Rare, but not that uncommon. But, I'm far away from the warnings and in no danger.

I have only read the space (cosmic) trilogy (rightly so called, in contrast to LoTR); while "Silent Planet" and "Perelandra" (or in the US "Journey to Venus") seem to go together fairly well, I agree with JRRT's comment that while "That Hideous Strength" is by itself not a bad book, as a conclusion to the first two it severely fails ...

After a grimly determined effort of keeping our windows open at night, aided by the first totally cloudless, brilliantly starry night sky in several days, I have finally managed to get the temperature in our hallway below 25°C (77°F) for the first time in well over a week, maybe two.
