* The full title was going to be The Celebration of the Marriage of the King and Queen of the Woodland Realm but it wouldn't fit.

---

Convincing her new husband to even step foot in Erebor, and it's emerald halls of a stunning kingdom, took some work. At first Erin believed that she would be attending on her own. After their first argument, they left for Erebor astride an Elven elk. Both wearing a crown of spring blossoms. Their discussion about attending may have continued, along their journey to the great halls of the dwarven kingdom, but Erin remained stubborn. The family had been invited, and were most likely on their way. She gave him an ultimatum; Erebor, or a divorce.

Needless to say, they arrived at the doors of Erebor, silent and majestically. Their discussion would most likely resume upon returning to their own kingdom.

They could have had their wedding reception in the woodland realm, but in her heart, nothing could beat the splendor of Erebor. Erin was filled with awe, as she looked upon the beauty of the kingdom, while her subdued husband walked with her to one of the larger rooms with in the dwarven kingdom.

"I've traveled to many realms in my lifetime, but I rather like this one." Hook said, looking back at where they had come before turning back to Erebor's doors. "Better than the Enchanted Forest, or Neverland even?" Tink teased. "You do have a soft spot for Neverland, don't you?" he replied. "Of course, what woman wouldn't like a world where time stands still?" she said, taking his arm as they made their way through the dwarven kingdom, helpfully pointed in the direction of the party by some of the inhabitants. Tink turned her attention back to her pirate husband, "Now Killian, keep in mind this is a family party, and we are guests in this realm. So no stealing, and no trying to 'borrow' anything either. No picking fights--" "A gentleman doesn't pick fights, love." he replied with a mischievous grin. She sighed, glancing upward before saying, "Just behave yourself, Captain." before they entered the party room. "Ah, there's Erin! Come on!" she said, pulling Hook along as she went to greet her niece.

Erin smiled at the sight of her aunt. "Auntie Tink!" she said.

Trying her best to act like a proper queen, she tried her best to walk as majesticly as the elves, towards her aunt and uncle, but she was not used to wearing long dresses, and stumbled a little. "Hello, Uncle..." Erin wasn't sure what to call her uncle, considering the fact that they hadn't officially met before. She looked around for Thranduil, but he had gotten distracted by some beautiful jewels.

"This is indeed fine craftsmanship."
Lembas rolled her eyes- Dwarves. She'd walked into Erebor complete with her Star Spangled Arm Candy™ (one Captain America) only to have a flock of dwarves descend on her husband and praise the merits of his Star Spangled Arm Candy for the last 45 minutes.

Upstaged by a shield... so not cool.

Unfortunately Steve- bless him- was too polite to put an end to the cooing (that's if dwarves were capable of cooing, Lembas' current experience dictated yes, yes they were, very much so) and was currently trapped in the middle of a swarm of half-sized, bearded, admirers.

She desperately looked around the room for a distraction- as the conversation returned to 'the complexities of working such a difficult metal' for the third time- when she spied Tink and Hook making their way over to Erin. At last an escape route!

"A fine young laddie like you needs a worthy beard" one of the dwarves gruffed, thumping Steve on the back.

"Funny you mention that, yes he does, definitely, infact he's going to head off and start growing one now!" Agreed Lembas grabbing Steve's arm from over the heads of his pint sized fan-dwarves (thank goodness she decided to wear heels) and dragging him away. The shield sadly, was a lost cause; but at least she had hubby back, conversation was looking more promising and if all else failed: Hello wedding buffet!

Weaving through the guests, Lembas and Cap made their way over to congratulate Erin.

"You really think I should grow a beard?"

"Don't be silly..."

"Hi, Lembas!" said Erin, greeting her cousin. Thranduil had once again joined her side. Still, she couldn't get used to the fact that she was now a queen.

"Who is Lembas?" asked Thranduil.

"My cousin," Erin replied, simply. No further explaination needed.

Marida did allow Erin and her new husband to hold their reception in Erebor, as long as they both kept a close watch on their husbands, since the Queen of Erebor didn't want the two of them getting at each other's throats, as what happened during the Quest to reclaim their kingdom from a certain fire drake from the North. The falling out of Thorin and Thranduil began much earlier than that, shortly after the attack on Erebor by Smaug when Thranduil refused to help the dwarves in their time of need. The Elven King may have not wanted to risk sending his people against the dragon, but dwarves didn't see it that way.

As for being Queen, you get used to it after a while, since even Marida herself wasn't from a royal family, she was just married into one. Maybe it was a good thing that Erin opted to have her wedding reception in Erebor, because convincing Thorin to step foot in the Woodland Realm again was going to take a lot of convincing. Thorin may not be too fond of Elves, but he'd accept them regardless. It wasn't only Thorin and Thranduil she'd have to keep her eyes on, but one of her family members seemed to be married to a pirate, so she couldn't have anything mysteriously disappearing. "Not on my watch." Marida thought to herself as she made her way to the reception area, keeping a close eye on both her husband and the pirate in question.

Sensing the reason for Erin's hesitant greeting, Hook introduced himself simply as "Hook." with a slight motion of his left arm that drew attention to the metal hook that took place of his hand. He gave her a slight bow, offering his congratulations to the new couple.

'Captain Hook, murderous and thieving one moment, a charming gentleman the next' Tink thought with a grin, linking her arm with his. She glanced around the room, noticing Lembas and her husbands arrival and the stir it was causing among the dwarves. "Hello Mr Star Spangled avenger! Suddenly feeling very patriotic..." she muttered to herself as they came near. While they greeted the new couple, Tink explained to Hook who they were. "Captain huh?" he said, looking Steve Rogers over. "Of what vessel?" Tink had to laugh. "He's a member of the army, Killian, not a ship's captain!...Hook." she added in a disapproving tone as her husbands attention wandered to a dwarf passing through and the bag of jingling coins that hung from his belt. Hook turned back to her with an innocent smile. "Good lord your going to be arrested at a family party..." Tink sighed, reaching up to hold her forehead in dismay.

A new arrival caught her eye, and she waved to Marida as she entered the party area.

Erin was delighted that Marida and Thorin had come to her party. It was no secret that their husbands didn't exactly get on. It was that very reason that Erin had to almost drag Thranduil to the party. Erin waved over to Marida and her husband.

Acknowledging her uncle, Erin nodded. "Uncle Hook, it is then. This is my husband, Thranduil. Don't mind him, he just hates the king under the mountain, and dislikes dwarves in general."

"Well perhaps a family tie will help bridge that gap!" Tink said brightly. "Then again, I've been in the company of seven dwarves before, they can be an irritant." Hook remarked. Tink rolled her eyes. "Thank you for helping, dear...So how was the task of getting Thranduil here?" Tink laughed, directing her question to Erin.

"I threatened him with divource, if he didn't come," said Erin, honestly. "We may have had a heated discussion about it on the way here."

Thranduil glanced away, to appear to not have heard what Erin was saying.

Lembas noted the odd look exchanged between the two Captain's. Which just made Steve scowl even more. Poor guy was missing his shield, which was understandable at a party where the majority of the guests were armed to the teeth. They'd have to find a way to get it back. Just so her super soldier/ petulant two year old wasn't sulking for the whole celebration.

Alltogether things seemed a little tense, she could also sense the hostile vibes radiating between the two Kings and Steve certainly hadn't missed the way Hook had eyed the dwarf's coins.

"I know you're the paragon of truth, justice and righteousness (and incredible pecs)" Lembas discreetly said to her husband "but now is not the time to live up to that...." She pleaded. "Think of America!!!"

A dwarf came by, with platter of goblets containing some sort of beverage. Erin gladly took a goblet, holding it carefully, as if it were made of diamonds. Then again, it probably was. Thranduil declined to take a goblet.

In the corner of her eye, she noticed two members of their woodland guard watching them. Erin was sure she didn't see anyone following them on the journey here. She looked to Thranduil, who simply said, "Why take the risk?"

That was it. The final straw for her. Now she was being guarded, as if someone would assassinate her just for drinking from a dwarven goblet. She wondered if she really was cut out to be a queen after all.

The band had finished setting up, they started playing a lovely song. One that was so delicate and slow. Erin wanted so much to dance to it. Once she had finished her drink, she intended to convince her husband to dance with her.

"I told you we would be late! Why did you need to finish that administration yourself again?" Lhun exclaimed, while she hurriedly tried to find her way through the corridors of Erebor. "I am sorry, I completely lost track of time. But you very well know I cannot leave those matters to someone else." She turned around and smiled at her husband, who still had some white cotton fluff stuck in his dark hair. "I know dear. I'll just consider myself lucky that I managed to get you out of that mill for once, so we could attend our daughter's wedding celebration."

As they entered the hall some of the other guests had just started dancing. Lhun quickly made her way over to Erin. "I'm sorry we're late, but you know your father.. I must say you've found a splendid location for your feast!"

"Mother, Father..." said Erin, with a smile. "No matter, at least you came." Erin returned the goblet to the platter of a passing dwarf. "Try whatever the drink is that they are serving. It is quite good."

Thranduil said something in elvish, that went right over the top of Erin's head. She was still learning this stuff. So he had to say it again in the language of men. "Shall we dance to the music?"

Erin nodded her head. She was waiting for him to ask. The king and queen of the Woodland Realm took to the dance floor.

The woodland guard that Thranduil brought along to protect Erin reminded Marida of a similar incident when she first met Thorin. Both Marida and her father had a guide to help them transverse the endless halls of the place she now calls home. At the time, she thought nothing of it, but she learned later on that the guide was chosen by Thorin himself, obviously to protect her, but the one thing she still couldn't figure out was from what. The dragon, Smaug? Her husband had took good care of that, since if it weren't for Thorin, Marida would have been squashed by one of the dragon's massive limbs, but luckily, Thorin pulled her out of the way at just the right moment.

"Must be a royalty thing," Marida thought to herself as she continued to watch the two Kings, so that things wouldn't get too heated. Luckily, both seemed to be co-operating, just ignoring one another and keeping close to their wives.

To help get her mind off things, she turned her attention to the newcomers, noticing for the first time how much Lhun's husband resembled her own (if Thorin would have been taller, of the race of man, and had short straight hair). She almost thought that she was seeing double. "Is this feud of yours with the Elven King ever going to end?" Marida asked her husband, as Thorin handed her a goblet of wine (or whatever the beverage was, since she wasn't really paying attention).

Erin and Thranduil danced a few songs. She was able to hide her stumbling quite well. Wearing long dresses was definitely a skill she needed to master.

A horrible realisation occured to her. She hadn't spoken to Marida or Thorin at all.

"We must thank Queen Marida and King Thorin for allowing us to have our reception here," said Erin. But Erin knew what his answer would be. "You're not coming are you?"

"Lónannûniel, my beloved, I could not keep my promise to you, if I were to come with you."

Erin sighed, but she couldn't change who he is. Nor would she want to. If Thranduil acted nice all the time and predictable, she wouldn't feel the same about him. Thranduil remained close to their guards, while Erin approached the king and queen of Erebor.

"Thank you for agreeing to have our party here," said Erin, to Marida and Thorin.
