When I lived in the high mountains of Washington State, I walked across Lake Easton on ice even though it was making these 'starwars' blaster sounding pings and twangs as I went.

I walked a good distance in the snow today. It was really coming down all day, but it was noticeably warmer than yesterday. Typical of the winter weather in the Pacific Northwest, it will be raining by Monday.

Clearing out a deceased relative’s flat (apartment) after over 40 years of their tenancy is never enjoyable, even with delegation of the physically demanding part. Doing the same at a distance of 210 km (130 miles) from own home is even seriously less so.
