I would most happily lead the contingent to Helm's Deep, and then take up a rear guard position in case of sudden evacuation.

I would slam the door and scream back. "NO! You cant's HAVES IT! It is MINE, my own... my PRECIOUSSSS!!!!"
ok.... not really, but it sounds good in theory. I would probably tell point west and say, "There are no rings here... they are all in Hobbiton... that direction!"

Well, It would depend on which son it was ... if it was Maedhros, I would fling myself on him and swear to be his forever and a day. If it was one of the C's (Celegorm, Carathir, Curufin) I would tell him I don't have any damned Silmarils and tell him to go elsewhere (politely of course).
What would you do if Thorin and Company, plus Bilbo, invited themselves for dinner at your place?
