Quote: musn't forget Ewan McGregor as the only other bright spot in that film. Definitely not . Some would even say in the whole prequel trilogy. I don't agree with that sentiment personally (e.g. in Revenge of The Sith, I thought the intercutting of the scenes of Amidala giving birth to Luke & Leia and the scenes of Anakin being transformed into Darth Vader, screaming in pain, I might add, was a brilliant idea, very effective), but that's just me .

Haha yeah his voice would work wonderful for that wouldn't it.
And yeah, Ewan McGregor was good in all the prequals, but honestly thge only one I didn't like as well was episode three because of how pathetically the jedi died. other than that I liked them all. (but hey... it's starwars of course I liked it. )
Just an interesting fact by the way... did you know that Ewan McGregor is the nephew of the actor who played Wedg Antilies in the Original trilogy? I found that quite interesting lol

What Liam Neeson is Aslan??? I didn't know that..
He's a great actor and I completely agree he (and Ewan McGregor) was the sun and the moon in the Star Wars prequels! And I just recently watched Batman Begins and my mind refused to take in the fact that he played a bad guy there - I believed in him, even when he died!!

lol I think he did a very commendable job, even if he was a vilan.

Focus on the Family made an audio drama *radio theater, they call it* that was basically a radio drama of the Narnia series....David Suchet did the voice of Aslan, and i think that if Neeson is ever unavailable to do the voice of aslan, Suchet could take over just as easily.
@Jax: actually, yes I did know that. I don't know if Lucas actually knew that or not about McGregor, but I think he and his uncle look alike a bit. And unless I'm mistaken, Obi-Wan had the same call sign in ep. 3 as Wedge did in one of the originals...can't remember which one.

That's interesting... didn't know Focus on the Family had done that.
I'll take your word for his voice though. besides... if your going to get someone to talk for Aslan... you HAVE to get someone witha voice like that anyway.
not sure about the call sign.... but it's just an interesting fact.

I saw it when it was in theaters! I thought he was amazing in it (not great at the US accent but still really good). The storyline was good in my opinion too.
I have really only seen Liam Neeson in three movies come to think about it: The Haunting, Star Wars Episode I, and Taken. I love his performance in all three though.

I've loved him ever since I saw A-team... he did a great job there!
