He's definitely one of those newer actors isn't he? The first time I heard of him was in union with Kirsten Dunst.

Jake's a bit of a cutie.
I love Donnie Darko..awesome movie.
I remember back when Spider-Man 2 was getting ready to film and it looked like Tobey wasn't able to film it due to back problems..Jake was first in line for the role.
Jake Gyllenhaal as Peter Parker would have been really interesting.

Jake is a good actor. He always seems to prefer indie films rather than huge blockbusters(well he did "The Day After Tomorrow").I want to see "Brokeback Mountain" which looks very interesting.

Jake as Peter Parker? That would have been good to see!
He's very talented--hopefully he'll do well in Brokeback Mountain!

Aww but I liked Tobey for Peter Parker.
Sure Jake has the sex appeal but Tobey has the innocent face.

Oh I definetly think they cast the right actor for Peter Parker. But in the land of What If...Jake would have been the next best candidate for the role.
He could definetly act the part and he kinda resembles the comic book Petey like Tobey.

The only movie I've seen him in is October Sky (if I'm even remembering correctly!), but he was quite good in it!

I think Jarhead is about the war in Iraq, and was released a month or two ago here in the States. Haven't seen it though.

Aaah, thanks Arwen I don't like war films, so I won't be going to go see it, I don't think.
Did anyone see Jake in The Day After Tomorrow?

^yeah I saw that and I thought he was really good it it. He seemed more like a real teenager than people usually do in these kind of things.
He was also great in Donnie Darko.
