Kirk seems like a great guy. I used to think he was so funny and cute in Growing Pains.
And he was really good as Buck Williams_i'm a huge Left Behind fan. Read all the books in the original series.

I've read all twelve books, and I loved them. I've also read all 40 of the kids series. My favorite scene in Left Behind was between him and Chloe when he was at Chloe's house and Chloe thought he had a fiancee. So funny. "Why don't you go back to your fiancee before she gets worried?"
"Wait, wait, wait...My what?!" "I met her today at your apartment. Brunette, bathtowel, big shiny diamond; ring a bell?" "Ivy?" "Mrs. Ivy Williams? Cute."
