I liked Thomas. He looks so cool. For a moment when I saw King Kong, I thought he was David Wenham. But like in four of his movies, he plays as a Nazi. Probably because he's German and everything.

Thomas Kretschmann.....

[blushes and squeals fangirlishly]

Kretschmann is my current obsession now and I'm trying to see all of his movies. Even the ones that he has small parts in. I think he's an awesome guy and his two kids are absolutely adorable!

Kretschmann embodies the features of both Liam Neeson and David Wenham, which makes him even sexier. ^^

I discovered Kretschmann in King Kong as Englehorn and of course just fell in love with him after that.

I also saw his parts in The Pianist once again co-starring with Adrien Brody. He looked absolutely divine in that uniform. And he played a GOOD German, assisting Adrien Brody get through the cold times but unfortunately he has to try and escape before the Russians get there to liberate the city. [SPOILER: And he actually dies after being captured by the Russians.]

I want to see Head in the Clouds with him starring as Charlize Theron's love interest. He's in uniform there too. I love him in uniform really!

He's also in Stalingrad --- as a German soldier, in uniform.

Downfall is another one that he's a German officer.

A project he's currently working on is "In Transit" which is about German soldiers [so again, he's playing a German in uniform] being captured and put in a camp of Russians. Thomas Kretschmann plays the main character, Max, who falls in love with a Russian nurse. The film is being filmed at St. Petersburg, Russia.

*drools silently in corner*

I first saw him in King Kong and I was like "he reminds me of someone..... Liam Neeson!". I was so glad he didn't die in that. My favourite characters always have the tendacy to die. :P

That's all I have seen him in, but I thought he was great in KK and he is most definitely drool worthy. :D

AWWWWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

He looked so uncomfortable and self-concious... I'd have wanted to leap out the audience and give him a hug..... [any excuse for that is welcome] ..

I never knew about the swimming bit, but I did know how he trekked for weeks to get out of East Germany and find refuge elsewhere.

And shirtless???!!!!! :swoon: JF almost swooned out of her chair here. Gorgeous..... ...

I loved the bit where he goes, "And then I got into acting and I found out I was good at it so.... I was stuck."

XD

I. Love. His. Voice!

*drools*

I'm so glad he didn't go into interior design. *drools again* Oh and his facial expression. Especially when he said "I'm a German in Hollywood" and he made that face.

Kretschmann is adorable. ^_^ I first saw him in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, I though he was pretty cute. I think my favorite role of his so far is his role of Cross in Wanted.

I really, really, really wish he did more productions for us to see him in. Because he's so amazing, and I miss him a lot.

A lot.

Ermm... well less delicate parts of me may have exploded... but not them.

Although... admittedly I did write that BEFORE I looked at the picture... so maybe I'd better go check...

Is it me, or are his trousers quite low down?

Yes, that's true. I guess you would know from experience yes? ;)

Indeed, I do.

But this is something else I really really miss from the forum.

Excessive fangirling of Thomas Kretschmann, who would be otherwise ignored anywhere else.

Poor guy. D:
