I mostly write fanfictions (POTC, specifically). So far, I have four. I keep trying to branch out and do some original fiction (in fact, I have one in the works), but I keep getting distracted with another idea for a fanfic and am yet to get more than a few chapters into the other story. It's very frustrating, because I really do want to write other things. My strength just seems to be in fanfics, though.

Well, When I am working on one thing and have an idea for something else I just either write both at the same time, write one down and save it for later, or forget one...(that can be hard though) Not sure if that will help but that's all I can say.... *shrug*

I'd love to be an author later on in my life, it's what I'm aspiring to do with my life...

Fanfiction is often a way to pick up more ideas. You just need to develop a character you love as much; and it gets easier to write, I find.
